Olive garden is always a delight, this time was as consistent as every other time. The servers are all pretty friendly, the guy last night was really a great waiter that was one step ahead of everything. The food is always awesome, served hot and fresh. We tend to fill up on the pre dinner soup and once again held true to form. Hot, fresh, filling. My wife always does the potato one which is hilarious because she HATES potatoes. (go figure) I do the "Italian Chili" and it takes me down every time. So good. I was able to eat most of my ravioli and it was also pretty awesome. The place is always clean, the service is always great and the food is over the top awesome.

It was extra busy when we went. We went here because we had a gift card. Decided to try it out for the first time. Had to wait 20 minutes to be seated, no problem, it's dinner time so we expected it. Had a lot of fun sitting outside and chatting so no issue. Was seated at a very nice booth in a corner so that was also a plus! Husband said soup was amazing and the breadsticks are always good. We did a buy one take one meal deal. My food was Luke warm/cold which was a little off putting but my husband's food was hot and he was happy so that was fine. The server, we had two, were very prompt and friendly. They got us whatever we needed pretty quick but there was a lull where we didn't have drinks for a while. I also got dessert which was great. The to go food at home was alright but not amazing. Over all it was what could be expected of a commercial Italian place but I do see room for improvement. The cost is right though so I would try it again.

Okay, I'm cheap so we went to do the Tour of Italy. You get three scoops on a plate of three different main course type of items. Prices are $13-$18. Plus you get unlimited breadsticks and choice of unlimited soup or salad. Sounds pretty good, right? The breadsticks and chicken and gnocchi soup were delicious!!!! I am a fool for not just ordering the soup and breadsticks. Both were served piping hot every time! The main course? Unbelievably awful! None of my three items were hot. Some bites were room temp. It was so, so bad. It seemed like everything had been made hours before and then they half-assed warming it up!! I probably took two bites of each item, no joke. No friggin' joke. My boyfriend was upset because his chicken parmigiana was really chewy.... it tasted very weird. Our server came around right after we had received the food and I had only taken a bite, so I didn't complain since I was hoping that the next bite would be delicious, yanno? So it was $13 wasted for me. My boyfriend ate all of his but didn't enjoy it. It was really quite a shitty meal, and I'm sorry to say we chose to go here for our anniversary dinner! Stick to the stuff you know they go through and aren't letting sit in the back for hours -- like the delicious breadsticks and chicken and gnocchi soup!

Food is okay but the waitress charge me 2.79 for my hot water without any notice...when we double check with her and her attitude is like "yeah, that's the way we do it"....don think I will go there again..

I went with my coworkers there for lunch today. The place was crowded due to graduation. We thought we had to wait for 20-30minutes to get seated. Sper excuted, after 10 minutes, we were seated. We all ordered the unlimited soup , salad and bread sticks. It was delicious! When i consumed 2soups, i was too full to finished the rest. So, my waitress, asked if i wanted to take it to go. With out a doubt, i said yes and along with salads and my coworkers had some too. she was super nice. We all gave her a whopping tips for her great service. She works there Mon-Fri in the afternoon.

Olive Garden, you need to correct the suggested tip on your receipt. My wife had dinner there on 1/17/2015. When I saw the receipt, she was shocked to find your "suggested tip amounts" was incorrect. The 15% suggested tip amount was not 15% but a higher percent. The 20% suggested tip amount was not 20%, but a higher amount. The next time you're at Olive Garden, double check the "suggested tip amounts" on your receipt to see if it adds up. Perhaps it's a programming mistake. So if the numbers do not add up now, then double shame on them. Update 7/10/2015: I ate at Olive Garden again. The suggested tip % equals the tip $. All is good. Thanks Olive Garden. I'll raise you from 1 star to 2 star.

Shoutout to Jaysen, Honestly the best waiter I've ever had. He was very prompt at filling up our drinks and checked up on our table and made sure we were having a wonderful lunch. In the end Jaysen made our lunch even better by giving us extra mints, He hooked it up! Would definitely go back, 10/10

The moment you open the door to the restaurant the smell of the food will fascinate you right away. First of all, we had three people serving us. Does a table of 8 people really need that many waitresses/waiters? I think the waiter service and the customers well-being is very important for Olive Garden. Well it was indeed a great service. In fact I heard "IS EVERYTING OK?" every 5 mins. So thumbs up for this one.. or "stars up" for yelp. You can find a lot of different things on the menu. I'm sure there is something for everyone. I ordered Chicken Scampi with spaghetti. I kept fishing around and looing for scampis in my food. And then I asked the waitress why I can't find scampis in my food, "I think the scampis are missing" she goes like: "What do you mean? Scampis?" Me: Yea... scampis.. shrimps" She: "NOOOOO scampi is the name of the sauce... and then she left and cracked up hahah, me too. WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU CALL YOUR SAUCE SCAMPI? It's like getting potato with steak and they tell you the name of the sauce is called steak.. lol Anyways, it was fun. But minus one star because the plate you get is huge, and the actual food.. not so huge. I mean my menu was $13.99 and that was way too little. For every restaurant: I think either it can be a small dish but really great quality and delicious, or it can be huge but lack of quality.

Once again, amazed at the service here. Extremely attentive, professional, polite & pleasant as noted in my last review from April. Tonight, our server was "Anthony". There is definitely something you are doing right at this location. ALL your servers, (so far) and the hostess (didn't get her name), are "over the top" friendly and everyone has a smile on their face. So refreshing and really sets the mood. Tonight we had the Tuscan 2 for $25 special. Tons of food. Still loving the soup, salad & bread sticks, of course, but adding tiramisu to that took me right to heaven! Specifically, the Creamy Chicken Firenze was delicious. The chicken. Wow. Cooked to perfection.

Olive Garden truly had a revamp or something because I remember not enjoying this place much. Went to Olive Garden with new expectations since I've heard talk about their food getting better. Then my boyfriend and I theorized that they must have revamped due to their new logo as well. Went with one of my really good friends for a girls dinner and I was pretty surprised on the change. I remember the pasta being bland and whatever. Sauces were too watery and not really flavorful. We did the never-ending pasta deal. I got cavatappi with alfreado and meat sauce combined. The flavor was actually really good. Of course I had to get the fresh Parmesan and added red pepper flakes. I was really surprised and delighted with the new bang of flavor. Of course I've always liked their bread sticks and salad but I was never a fan of the pasta. The change is good! I will definitely be going back more often now. Especially with this never-ending pasta deal going on!

Jason was our server and he was awesome! He was very good with our kids who only wanting shredded mozzarella cheese and bread sticks. He also joked around with my kids and my boyfriends dry sense of humor. It was a good pairing. That is why this place gets 5 stars. Personally, there's too much salt in all their dishes and that's usually what happens in a chain restaurant, but if it wasn't for the awesome waiter, it would have been 3 maybe 4 stars. I had their house Rose wine and it was yummy. We started with their appetizer sampler with calamari, stuffed mushrooms and chicken fingers (for the kids). I had originally planned to get a red sauce pasta to go with my wine, but I ended up getting the chicken and shrimp carbonara. The white cream sauce and bacon made it really oily and salty. For me it was ok, I ate half and boxed it up. My boyfriend got the $11.99 meal and had tricolor pasta with marinara. That was pretty good. Would have went better with my wine. The kids had spaghetti and shell pasta with Alfredo sauce, but they were eating up the bread sticks and mozzarella instead. Of course we had their salad and I love their salad. It helps cleanse my palate after eating all the salty, oily food. All in all, food was average. Enough to put a smile on my face, but all that salt kind of ruined it for me. I'm really glad we had excellent service which made this visit a 5 star experience. Thank you, Jason!

The only reason for the one star is because of the hostess. My family and I dined on a Friday night 8/7/15. We were seated in a booth by the rudest hostess. She is a young African American gal probably in her 20s. She was wearing a button that says Heaven...that might be her name. Instead of handing my kids (who sat on the inside) their cutlery, crayons & menus. She tossed it on the table passed my face. My husband and I just looked at each other as if to say "did that just happen?" We probably should have just walked out but I just waited 45 minutes. I hope that management will read this and properly train their employees. Other than this incident, we actually had great service by both Anthony & Brandon and the food was very good.

Service here is horrible. Got seat and saw two tables get seated after us and they all had there drinks and orders taken while we literally sat there with no server. Many waiters and waitresses passed us and didn't even glance over. We waved one down and she finally decided she will wait our table. should of just walked out.... never coming here again

Great food and great service. I love the endless salad and of course the bread Stix. The minestrone soup is super yummy and some of the wines they offer are really good.

So-So. Slightly more subpar than your standard Olive Garden. Went because craving salad. Unfortunately salad was poorly tossed and greens were wilted, pieces of shredded veg were small and sad. Definitely seemed like it came from the bottom of a packaged bag of lettuce. Zuppa Toscana soup was fine. No longer puts frozen peaches in iced tea. Slight bummer. Service was fine. Place is like a small cottage, cozy and home-ish. Not bad but would rather go to other Olive Garden's.

I love Olive Garden, but so far this has been the worst restaurant I've ever been to. First, one of my utensils had some kind of dried chocolate food on it. Second, I didn't receive what I ordered, and lastly the chicken was not fully cooked!

Olive Garden offers a lunch menu w unlimited soup and choice of 3 kinds of soup for 7.99 - a good value. The Tuscany soup was good and the servers were very attentive on refills. The unlimited salad ( ice berg lettuce tomato, olive, red onion, peppers and croutons) was adequate if not very imaginative. Paying attention to the details is key to being a successful restaurant, so seeing a big chunk of brown lettuce in the bowl made we wonder - How did it get of the kitchen? Why did the server not notice? However I did see some positive things resulting from a recent scathing report by Starboard, a hedge fund which cited Darden's poor food quality at Olive Garden and has successfully pushed management for major changes in the organization. *If it's possible to be over serviced - we were. There were no less than 5 different employees that passed by our table to ask if we needed more water, salad, etc. * The bread sticks were hot and tasted like freshly baked. * The menu prices point to very good value on all dishes. * The restaurant is comfortable, family friendly, clean, and nicely decorated. As we were leaving we passed by the bar and noticed only one person at the bar. Since alcohol is a huge source of profit for a restaurant, I wondered why they didn't just add a couple of flat screen TV's to encourage more patrons to eat at the bar. Maybe this is a work in progress

Excellent service. Good food. Clean. This isn't traditional Italian food. However, if you like Olive Garden, this is 4 stars. The service is always excellent, iced tea refills, special order is correct, food is delicious, salad crisp.

A friend of mine left a wall post that said "I went to Olive Garden for my b-day and for dessert, they brought me some of their mints with a candle on it." Now doesn't that sound like such a generous company that cares about their customers satisfaction? I know I'm defiantly going to want to come back on my birthday to get my birthday mints!!!! Yay! Actually NO. That's really sad. I'd like Olive Garden to give desserts to their customers who celebrate their birthdays at their restaurant

Went there on Wednesday, they seated us right away but placed us with a table right where everyone walks right by the table. The servers and the customers being seated. When there were plenty of booths where we could have been seated. To the side or the back of the restaurant. Our server was pleasant and quickly took our order. The appetizer was bland and lifeless. The salad was eh as well as tasteless. It seemed as if they just tossed it in a bowl from a bag. No dressing or seasoning of any kind; must have killed the prep staff to actually do some work, tossing it in the bowl. The servers were standing around rather than waiting on their customers. Credit to a couple of them who were actually working as they passed by our table. Again, the table was in an awkward uncomfortable place. I ordered eggplant parmesan because that is one of my favorites....well after tasting this Olive garden's version, I may rethink this dish as a favorite. It was slightly breaded and was very oily, bland and tasteless. The cooks really need a refresher course in how to prepare a meal. Needless to say, unless they hire new cooks or hire a real culinary chef....They may lose a few customers.... I usually love Olive garden but not this one....The building is nice, ample enough parking and staff somewhat pleasant. Rethink your seating arrangements of your tables as not to make your diners feel awkward and uncomfortable having servers and other diners walk by their table glancing at your food. Hire a real culinary chef, I know it's a franchise and they have the recipes that they must follow, but a good chef can make anything amazingly appetizing. Rather then oily and bland, lifeless, tasteless and a waste of money. Now let's get to the receipt, they place a tip percentage on your receipt as if to say make sure you tip your server. Uh okay, as if I don't know how to calculate a tip, and what if the service was bad...I have to tip because the receipt states I must tip the servers....Mind you I did tip the server because he was pleasant and quick. It wasn't his fault the food was less than mediocre... This was a FAIL in my book, bad food is always a FAIL. Waste of money..who wants to eat something that sucks, let alone have to pay over 50.00 dollars for it.. I recommend get a new chef or hire better cooks.

Overpriced. It not the same anymore. Menu constantly changing and prices have gone up through the years. Only constant is Tuscany potatoes and sausage soup. Just plain yummy.

Yum, Yum, Yum!! I love this place! Chalyse she was an amazing server. She had 3 tables including ours, one was party of 6 and she didn't forget anything we requested. She checked on us several times and was so nice and friendly. I've never had bad service or food at this Olive Garden! They have definitely earned and kept my business!!

First of all, the margaritas here are amazing. I want 20thousand of them. Haha. Our waiter Jake was phenomenal!!!! Unfortunately he had to leave because it was slow today. Kinda made me sad since he's super ultra mega awesome. Tbh, I'd just return for him. He was super cool and explained everything we asked of. And Paris was also extremely sweet and cool. Man, they hire awesome people. If I had my own business, I'd hire them on the spot. Move lasagna was also really good. Recommend it !!! Ooh and the martini was a little bit strong. But it's okay ! Really clean too. Im also a little buzzed good thing I'm not driving yay

The food can be appealing but most of the time, it's too cheesy and the rude workers do not help that factor. 2 separate occasions I've encountered rude waitresses that do not know what polite is. When the serve asked me if I would like some parmesan cheese, I shook my head and decided to spritz some on anyway. Midway eating, we were stopped by her as she informed us, "my shift ends in a bit so I need my tip now ok" As we were sickened by this, we gave her a rather not so good tip (10%) as her service sucked. When we gave the bill to her, she yelled at us, "you're leaving me with a $3 tip?????? Are you serious?... You are going to leave me this? Fine". Shortening this, never coming back again.

I came here on a dinner date and Krystal M. made it superb. Krystal (our waitress) asked all the right questions. She brought water with our drinks, suggested items on the menu, everything. She was an absolute delight to have as a waitress. She had a bright and spunky attitude which kept things light. I had a watermelon margarita that was quite yummy (but was a seasonal item so it may be gone). My ravioli were cooked well and served hot which was great. Definitely going to stick to this Olive Garden!

It was a horrible experience. The wine server dropped a bottle of wine and the wine went all over the back of our clothes ruining our pants and shirts. The mgr. comped us with a $50 gift card which we were forced to spend at the establishment. The meatballs were worse than the cheap frozen kind you buy at the market. The food was terrible. The only thing that is good is the Zuppa Toscana and bread sticks. We will never return to Olive Garden again. This was our 3rd bad visit to the Olive Garden. 3rd time was definitely not a charm. To much money for poor quality food I can cook better than this place.

Stopped in and had lunch on a Friday at 1pm and found that there was absolutely no wait. Although I could have been seated immediately I choose to sit at the bar, which also had plenty of seats available. It took a few moments to be acknowledged but that was due to the other three patrons seated prior to me arriving (they had the bartender busy as a bee). Once he realized he had a new customer the attention I received was above the rest. I ordered off the lunch menu which featured the all you can eat soup and salad for $7.99 (you can often find a coupon for $2.00 off online for this deal as well) and many other smaller portion meals. I picked the chicken scampi which was amazing. The pasta was cooked perfect and the chicken tasted fresh. The meal also included soup or salad and their famous bread sticks. Unlimited of course. Total I was out of there for less than $15 which is sometimes what fast food can run. It was well worth it. The service was friendly, helpful and very attentive. This was a def. 5 star experience. The only bad thing I can think of is the parking is in the back so be prepared to walk around the building to get in but that has no reflection on the service and food which is always the most important. I'll be back sooner than later.

Came here Friday Oct 3. Walked in was told it was about 10-15 min wait my mom and son walked outside to run to the car real quick and we were ready to be seated. Very quick wait less than 3 min. within moments of being seated our waiter arrived Alex D. Immediately taking our drink orders and giving us time to review the menu. Very fun guy too liked his ability to understand his tables as to who he could playfully have conversation with and entertain. Each interaction was different with each table he greeted. I think that's important because every customer has very different wants and needs, including teenagers like my son. I also like when asking about a dish served there that the waiter/waitress can speak on it. The tortellini with bacon was excellent! Thank you Alex D. Your service was awesome. -Thief

This is the only Olive Garden location I've been to and I've never had a bad experience. Service is great with friendly servers and I'm always pleased with my visits here. Unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks is a must get with the rest of your meal. I honestly don't know what it is but their salad is so goood. Even my little sister who hates her veggies will eat the salad here and even said that the salad at Olive Garden is the only salad she'll willingly eat and actually enjoy LOL. I want to say the eggplant parmigiana pasta is my favorite here. I love how it's breaded and the marinara sauce on it is just great with the pasta too. My boyfriend loves the unlimited zuppa toscana soup and that's saying alot because he generally isn't one to get soups anywhere. On our last visit for lunch, my boyfriend and I did the Cucina Mia 3 course meal for only $9.99. That included unlimited soup or salad, breadsticks, pasta entree that you pick yourself, and dessert. I got the unlimited salad while he of course, got the unlimited zuppa toscana soup (3 refills + 1 togo btw, LOL) for our first course. For the entree, you're able to choose 1 of 5 different types of pasta you want (penne, cavatappi, bucatini, large paccheri or linguine), then choose the sauce you want on the pasta (tomato pomodoro, creamy sun dried tomato, spicy diavolo, primavera, or roasted garlic alfredo). I was stuck between spicy diavolo and creamy sun dried tomato and our server Scarlett told us I could just get both!!! Ahhhhh, how wonderful! So that's exactly what I did; both creamy sun dried tomato and spicy diavolo on cavatappi. My boyfriend got spicy diavolo and tomato pomodoro on the large paccheri. Spicy diavolo definitely had a spicy kick to it, really good though. I really liked the creamy sun dried tomato mixed with the spicy diavolo since it toned down the spicy a bit and the two sauces became kind of like a pink sauce. It was just really good. We both really liked the large paccheri pasta. None of us had had that pasta before but boyfriend decided to give it a try and we really liked it. We both added meatballs on our pasta for extra ~$2. He got sausage and I got chicken. Chicken was a little dry (or maybe it's just 'cause it's chicken) but the sausage meatball was really goood. It's basically just two big meatballs ontop of the pasta dishes. I didn't even finish the meatballs on mine, it's actually alot lol. For dessert, there's three choices of tiramisu, salted caramel tiramisu, or chocolate mousse cake. We both wanted the salted caramel tiramisu but they had actually ran out so we had the choice of any other dessert, even ones not part of the Cucina Mia deal. Boyfriend got the black tie mousse cake and I just got the tiramisu. Both were really good. Black tie mousse cake was soo rich and chocolatey, I loooved it!! We were both so full but I just had to finish as much of the black tie cake as I could, it was that good. There's happy hour every weekday until 6pm (I think) so I had gotten a blackberry blood orange martini for only $4. It was sweet and definitely stronger than I had expected, really good. I would definitely order again for only $4. Olive Garden always has really good deals with their meals, ALWAYS. There's the current $9.99 Cucina Mia, 2 (meals) for $25, dinner for today and togo for tomorrow, etc. They seem to rotate between the deals so it just depends during the time you go what the deals are at the restaurant. Their dishes are very reasonably priced. Although it's not super cheap, it's definitely not an expensive high class restaurant. Olive Garden's a well known franchise and sure, it's not a top class specialty restaurant but you really can't go wrong with great service and good food. What I love the most and reason for returning to Olive Garden is their service. I honestly have to say that they have one of the best service, even for how busy they do get during the lunch/dinner prime times. And their mint chocolate candy (Andes thins lol) at the end, definitely tops it off perfectly :)

I went in for their $5 limited time offer for unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks. The customer service was great and my food came out within in 5 minutes. The place is nice and clean and everyone was nice. Will go again! I ordered a minestrone soup and it was delicious. It's all vegetarian and no meat. I ended up ripping my waiter 100% since he was super nice!

First of all, I want to start by saying I LOVE Olive Garden, the food is always great! Yesterday my boyfriend and I decided to have Olive Garden for brunch. We went in and were seated very quickly. We were there seated for about 15 minutes and we started realizing that other people that were seated after us were brought their drinks and appetizers, still our server was no where to be found. I was about to get up to let them know when Mauro, (not our server) came to apologize and ask us for our drinks, he brought that over quickly, also a different gentlemen (again not our server) came to bring us wines to try. They both apologized and said our server would be right with us in the meantime they did bring us bread. Our server (which i do not recall her name) came and took our order. Through out the whole lunch Mauro would check on us very often to see how to food was and to give us refills.. I don't write reviews ever, but after receiving the customer service from Mauro yesterday, my boyfriend and I were very happy and satisfied. He was very friendly and took care of us very well. We will be visiting this Olive Garden again because we loved the service Mauro gave us (we hope to be seated in his area next time so that he can be our server.) We really hope Mauro can receive the recognition he deserves. He went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our time at Olive Garden. Thank you Mauro!!!!!!

Thickest restaurant in the world! Honestly is thicker than mcdonalds! They give you unlimited bread sticks and unlimited soup and the entrées are very fattening. But great restaurant. When you leave i would consider going to the gym 10 time a week bc this place is so thick

I come here about twice a month maybe and I'm always satisfied with the food& the peach iced tea.. But tonight I had one of the best servers (Molly) I could say I probably have ever had! I never had to ask for one thing she was on top of everything and was also very sweet!

It's nice that they have a gluten-free menu. Both the Sweet Corn Tamales and Mushroom Burger were both Gluten Free and delicious! Service was good. Outside heated patio was nice, but smoking is allowed which we didn't enjoy as much.

I mostly get my orders to go here but I love this Olive Garden. The staff here is just super friendly and efficient. They always tape the chocolate to the bag so that it doesn't melt when I pick up my order. Super small and clever trick but makes the biggest difference. I love their angel hair pasta. Although it has more calories than all the other pastas, I feel like it's easier to get full faster because of how thin the pasta is. For sauces I like mushroom Alfredo and 5 cheese marinara. 5 cheese marinara is more creamy but with a tomato kick to it. Definitely delicious and different. Don't forget to end the meal with some Andes chocolate.

Olive Garden is pretty good +1 star, customer service is very good, they are well staffed and the staff knows their individual tasks +1 star, food is good enough to get a star. not the best Italian food but good enough to say I enjoyed the meal +1 star, prices are about right for the amount and quality of the food served. the bowl of salad and bread sticks (that my kids love) make the this a good deal +1 star, location and parking are very good. easy to find with plenty of parking -1 star, decor and presentation; the place looks ok, but this is still the same old look they have had the past 15 years. remodel, re-decorate, or improve a tired old look. the place does not feel/look special or nice. starting to feel like I am eating at my grandparents old house.

I absolutely love their food and it is pretty good at this location. Wait is never too long and the employees are always friendly. The reason I docked two stars is because everytime I go to this location, they put food/drinks in front of my son. Working in a restaurant myself, one of the first things servers/hosts should know is NEVER place items in front of babies.

We were here Sunday night and our waiter was Daniel, with a mustache. We have been here several times considering we live in HB but never had such a nice server! He was awesome!!!!!!! He was knowledgeable and was totally himself while still being professional, he has a great personality, we really enjoyed him as our server. He was just as friendly & enthusiastic with every table he served near us. Food was amazing too :) Everything was served in good timing, We had four cheese ravioli, fettuccine alfredo, bruchetta, an amazing creamy soup with gnocchi, chicken and vegetables, salad, and breadsticks. All was fresh and filling . We were told that they are going to have a new bruchetta with caprese soon since their current one doesn't have cheese with it. Can't wait for that! *Daniel w/ the mustache should get a raise* :)

We ate lunch on Thursday. This was the best experience I have ever had in Olive Garden. Thanks to our server Kerri. She was an outstanding server. Her smile, positive attitude and manner were out of this world. The good was great especially the chicken Parmesana.

I love eating at Olive Garden because their breadsticks are amazing and even though I hate salad theirs is always amazing! The food was average. We had the lasagna fritta (my favorite appetizer but this time it looked like they rushed to make it), spaghetti & meatballs, unlimited salad & breadsticks. However, our server Brittney was amazing! In my boyfriends words "she was down to earth & herself unlike most servers putting on a front for a tip". She entertained us, split our food (which has never happened for us before, normally we just have to eat off the same plate), & was very attentive! I would honestly drive down to Huntington Beach every time I crave Olive Garden for her. If you go ask for her! Definitely won't be disappointed!

Ordered online take out on a Monday night. Worst service ever. Order was to be ready at 5:50pm and it was not ready until 6:40pm and upon arrival at home we realized they had shorted us all sides for kids meals and one of the appetizers that was paid for. Will not go back!

This is one of my favorite Olive Garden locations because it's a little bit fancier looking. I usually come here if I have a $6 off coupon deal and as well as the 'buy one take one dinner' deal because I end up getting a lot of food to take home. I personally always loved their Baked Ziti because it's extremely cheesy and I love cheese. Their spaghetti and meatballs isn't too bad either. I also love the salad and bread sticks that come with every order, I always order another batch togo and they're happy to comply. I've never had a problem with this location, and I've been coming here occasionally for years now.

Welcome to the Garden..to the Olive Garden. Olive Garden is one of the finest & our favorite family style Italian restaurants and this one in Huntington beach is just awesome for it's location, staff friendliness, huge & spacious(like a mansion) apart from standard OG. Location: Located in Huntington beach close to the freeways and restaurants, shopping, Bella Terra etc Spacious: This is one of the biggest & spacious olive garden we have ever seen. It's like a mansion! Food: We started with unlimited soup, salad and bread sticks and we were so full already by the time our entrees arrived. We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo, Spaghetti with meat sauce and it was good, both these dishes came without any chicken or meat and it felt a little incomplete without that. We have tried adding chicken/meat before but the chicken/meat ball pieces are so less that's it's not worth it... Join the e-club! Why not with just a click of your mouse when you can get some money saving deals! I used the coupon Buy 1 get 1 half of entree..which was an awesome deal. Overall one of the best Olive Garden with super friendly staff, awesome location, spacious seating and a grand experience!

I just want to say to the managers CHECK THE FOOD THAT GOES OUT FOR TAKE OUT i ordered the lasagna / chicken parmesan ,and fettuccini alfredo the lasagna was ok but the futtuccini was so dry 0 sauce ,and chicken parmesan was like eating a brick 0 standards. The cook who threw that together could care less about his job and should be yelled at gordon ramsay style.

The place has a nice atmosphere and such nice people! But the most important thing? GROSS FOOD. I mean it's pretty edible, but no... My dad had some broth for 18.95? Nothing like the picture, hella small, and NOT TOO GREAT. I had the weird revioli or something but ugh after couple bites too cheesy.. The soup was so salty I just changed to salad. Breadsticks were good but Thts about it. People are sweet but the food.. Eh not so good. I would rather spend my money elsewhere

This Olive Garden is the best we have ever been to. The service was out of this world. We expected to wait for our order to be taken, which our order was taken very promptly. Then, we expected to wait for quiet a while for our food to come, but no.... we were served the quickest ever. The waitress was very attentive and got us what we needed with a smile and quickly. This place has very good management and the other Olive Gardens needs to learn from them. And let me tell you, they were busy and yet very accommodating and quick. Other Olive Gardens were not even half as busy as this one was. We all looked at one another in amazement when the food came out. This was a first! Great job to the staff at this location!

My family and I had a weekend lunch at the Olive Garden because we had a gift certificate. We were warmly greeted and seated at one of the many boothes....the place is huge! Our lunch order was: (1) Sampler Italiano w/ 3 Choices - $12.25 Our 3 selections included calamari, stuffed mushrooms prepared with clams and fried mozzarella. Our appetizers arrived hot and were yummy! (2) Soup and/or Salad Soup and/or salad are included with every entree. Sonny boy had the minestrone soup and hubby and I had the salad. Everyone was happy with their selection. (3) Seafood Portofino - $18.25 Mussels, scallops, shrimp and mushrooms with linguine in a garlic-butter wine sauce. My entree selection was "A-OK". Would I order it again?...probably not, without a gift certificate in hand. (4) Spaghetti & Meatballs - $15.25 Traditional meat sauce over spaghetti with meatballs. Hubby enjoyed his entree. (5) Chicken Parmigiana - $16.25 Parmesan-breaded chicken breasts, fried and topped with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese and served with spaghetti. Sonny boy said his meal was "OK". I had an enjoyable lunch at the Olive Garden. Service was great, food was "OK", and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The Olive Garden earned 3 Stars!

I had a craving for the breadsticks and salad and decided to stop by. This was my first time at this location and Wow, it's big! It's in its own parking lot and there is also street parking. The staff is super friendly, everyone greets you. Then comes our waitress, Ashleigh! She was such an angel, really sweet and had a great recommendations on the new dishes. The portions and food quality at this one was really good and they were also on top of refilling your drinks along with the breadsticks and salad!

We went there the first time, and got horrible service. So horrible, I wrote the manager, and they sent me a $50 gift card to come back. OK, fair enough. So we went back and took the whole family, which would have been like a $200 bill, so I figured it worked out. We went back, and guess what? Horrible service. Didn't get a drink order for 10 minutes, food took almost 40 minutes to come out, had to ask for drink refills TWICE. When it came time to pay the bill, it took them another 20 minutes! Ridiculous! I'm never going back!

The surrounding is amazing! So welcoming and it's not one of those quiet places. It's full of laughter ! Our waiter Miguel was awesome, he really took care of us even if e accidentally forgot our entree it didn't bother us because he was very polite and friendly! He ended up giving us free dessert and our appetizer. I would recommend anyone and everyone to come here especially to see him. He made our first trip here amazing!

Nice place, no complaints here. Our wait wasn't bad for a Fathersday , and the server was awesome. Food was Olive Garden, what else can I say? It was served hot and bursting with flavor. The Alfredo dipping sauce was bomb with the breadsticks. I ordered the tour of Italy and was wowed.

My daughter took me out to lunch on 10/07/14 to OG and our server Alonda was very polite and very attentive. When our entrees' arrived, my daughters plate had onions on it which she had asked for no onions. Alonda took her plate back and was very apologetic. The manager came to our table and she too was apologetic and told my daughter her meal was taken care of. Because of the mistake. The mistake was not the server, she had entered it in correctly, it was misread by the kitchen staff. Taking her meal off our bill was not necessary but I thank the manager for caring about the guests. We have been coming to this OG since Spring of 2010 and hope to come back for many years to come.

They have this deal where you get unlimited soup or salad and a choice of entree AND you get to choose another plate to take home as for just 12.99! PRETTY good deal! I am stuffed after just my soup and bread. By the time my chicken Alfredo came out, I was so full! But overall good place for lunch. Their service is good, everyone is very friendly and nice. And I love the free candy they give us at the end! YUMM!

I've never had a bad experience at this Olive Garden. It has its day's and times when it's super busy and you have to wait a while. But we usually sit at the bar to make the time pass. The only thing I notice that is kinda annoying is the waiters and waitresses seem to disappear for a while. Our waitress was Darrian. She was the best. Very friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. They don't take reservations so come early if you have a big party or come during dinner time.

Came here with girlfriend thought everything started out well until we met our smartass waiter Aaron I believe that was his name nobody likes a smartass I do NOT recommend this place. You are better off going to the one at main st. First of all he was giving us attitude from the start and the food wasnt even that great.. he gave us our to go food with no bag??? Who does that.. and then we get a bag with no handles on it... and we look around and see everyone with different bags obviously he did it on purpose and the pasta we had gave me food poisoning and barfing the wholw enight. What a joke.. dont eat here waiter should be fired

A life changing experience. Never Before had I experienced the wonder to the planet that is Olive Garden. After walking into the pearly gates of the eatery, the smell of fresh baked breadsticks and Italian food alerted my senses. It was one of the most enjoyable moments of my life. Next we were seated at a nice and comfy booth. The name of our waiter I sadly forgot but he greeted me very nicely and was very helpful and I felt at home. After being very "pumped up" about the bread, I was asked what I would like on that fine evening. I ordered the house salad and lasagna. It was wonderful. And then the waiter asked if I would like bread. The bread I have been waiting for my entire lifespan.I excitedly responded with a yes. Shortly after, the golden, perfectly cooked to perfection, crispy, buttery, prices of heaven arrived at our place of seating. I reached over to retrieve a breadstick and very cautiously held the bread in my palm. Never before had I held the wonderful substance which was in my hand. It has changed my life for the better. These breadsticks are problem solvers. After consuming the delicacy which is the Olive Garden breadsticks, I parted with the bread to have salad. It was very delicious. Well made, very green and delicious with very good additional toppings. The lasagna was also very satisfying, cheesy, and delicious. It was also very well cooked and scrumptious. Thank you to Olive Garden for the wonderful hospitality and food. Fresh bread every 15 minutes! Olive Garden is the way to go! Ithe garden

We came here for an impromptu dinner gathering with my family a few nights ago and it was my first visit to this location. I generally only go to Olive Garden if I'm with a group and someone else wanted to go, so I don't come often. I'll admit off the bat, I'm difficult to impress and due to circumstance (family connection) I tend to spend a good amount if time in restaurants. I will say, Olive Garden had continually impressive service at every location I've visited. Without fail, I have come to expect extremely friendly wait staff when I visit Olive Garden. Not always overly informative and they are can't always pronounce the food or wine they are serving- but extremely nice and attentive. I love that. The food has always been mediocre in my opinion. This was a step up from my last Olive Garden experience (in San Diego) the food tasted so terrible it made me feel ill. However, the food was not up to even chain restaurant standards. One member of our party ordered the chicken Alfredo which was semi-cold and the sauce had begun to separate before she even started eating, I tried it and there was no flavor. It tasted very similar to a jarred alfredo. My ravioli was decent enough and I was smart enough to switch the sauces up. That is a large complaint I have with Olive Garden, some of these pasta-sauce combinations just do not go together. Obviously, not this particular restaurants fault but seriously, who is making some of these? Not your Italian grandma. Overall, the entire party agreed the food was over salted and lacking flavor. Biggest disappointment: I'm a sucker for a tiramisu. The tiramisu has always been the highlight of my meal at Olive Garden, and been the entire reason I've tagged along a few times. I was so disappointed that my tiramisu was lukewarm and falling apart. It didn't taste quite up to par either but the temperature was beyond horrid. It was overly crowded and super loud. Very, run of the mill environment. Wish I had enjoyed it more.

My boyfriend, friend and I went here for dinner on Monday night and our waitress was amazing. I can't believe I forgot her name though. She was quick with bringing everything out, gave me some wine to sample and made good conversation. Normally waiters just take the food order and bring the food and then the check. She took time to actually talk to each table. Looking forward to returning to this location. Even the manager said goodbye as we left. Great location!

My coworker and I love to come to this Olive Garden on our lunch breaks because we get good food fast. But, the best part of eating there, honestly, is our server, Alonda, and we always sit in her section. She is such a kind and good-humored and attentive lady. she always remembers us and gets our food so fast because she knows we have short lunches, and she jokes with us and is just a very pleasant lady. You can go a lot of places to get decent food fast, but Alonda makes going to OG for lunch a great experience.

I've been to this place two times now. both time I walked out not being happy. i ordered the spagghetti with meat sauce and sausage. the sausage is okay but the casting is really chewy, but there was plenty of meat in sauce. my biggest complaint is the bread sticks. I am not sure why people like the bread sticks, but the ones we were serve were too salty and old. it definitely did not taste fresh. every time I took a bite of the bread stick, I had to wash my mouth with some water. the calamari, on the hand, was under season. it tasted like flower with tough calamari. I tried my best seasoning it when it arrived to our table. definitely not worth your money!!

I work in the service industry so this review is solely on the service I received. I don't frequent this restaurant very often and have never sat in the bar area until tonight. I have to say that Crystal at the bar area was outstanding. ..and I don't say that often at all! She was attentive with out being intrusive and so hospitable. I recommend if possible to sit in her area she's great! Thanks for making a bad day better.

Overall: Not a bad brunch, but not the best. If the service was more on point, that would've landed Bread Winners at 4 stars. Food ====== $11.99 3-course (with soup or salad and bread and choice between two desserts) Mezzuna (?) Four Cheese Crescent-shaped ravioli with mushroom and alfredo sauce Dessert Choice: Choice of Dolcini (Value 2.99) $11.99 3-course Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo with... screw-shaped pasta Dessert Choice: Chocolate Mousse (Value 5.79) $7.99 Unlimited Soup & Salad So I had the first item; ravioli with mushroom alfredo sauce. When it came out, the number of mushrooms was sad. Like santa's-not-real sad. I would've expected that kind of skimpiness to come if it was shrimp, cause fruit-of-the-sea? That's expensive stuff. After finishing my mushrooms in two bites and a side commentary that my friend was laughing at, I manned up and asked if I could have more mushrooms. The request was followed with a slight pause and a response of "It's going to have to come as a side dish... maybe $2?" I asked if it was going to be prepared in the same manner as the mushrooms in my dish currently. Not that I gave a shit, but the description didn't mention the mushrooms being flown in from an Italian province. Anyways, it reminded me of that time I added shrimp to my pasta for $3 and I got 3 shrimps of a small-medium size. I opted out, boxed my goodies to skip straight to dessert, the amaretto tiramisu dolcini. After also tasting my friend's chocolate mousse, I'd say go with the chocolate mousse. The little square of soaked sponge cake you get is about 1/2 the size; the rest is just cream. Despite the terrible service and management at Anaheim White House, their tiramisu is pretty bomb there and probably my favorite in the O.C. Decor ====== Fantastic decor. A mix between some western loving and French-Medieval themes. We were actually seated in the Quarter Man (for speed, I suppose). The music itself was a little weird; the volume would increase and decrease at random times and the song would switch halfway as if someone was messing with the sound system in the back. Service (2.5 stars) ====== - Slow. We were seated quickly, so they were spot on with their 15 minute waiting assessment. And there was a microphone announcement so we didn't have to wait in the lobby sardine-d together. After getting seated with our menus and getting our drink order, though, it was like the guy disappeared for 15-20 minutes. Timing-wise, the table next to ours got their food delivered and was about done by the time our server came to take the table order next to ours and then ours. Extra!! ======= - Valet Parking behind the restaurant - Complimentary parking with validation on McKinney, although there is a man that parks your car, so bringing a tip would be nice

My favorite pasta dish used to the Capelini Pomodoro which is now off the menu. I had the create your own with bucatini pasta, it's not so good. The sauce is good, but the pasta absorbs it in a weird way. Bring back the Capelini Pomodoro!

So I dine here frequently. You can say once every two to three weeks. Out of those frequent visits, I only had one mediocre experience. Yesterday could have been the second, but it wasn't because Sonya came to the rescue! We went out for dinner around 5:30-ish and it was almost completely empty. We were so excited and already had in my mind what we wanted to order. We were seated at our table chatting and laughing time away... until we stopped. Our stomachs were growling and we noticed our server never came. It had probably been around 15 minutes or so. Then out of no where, Sonya eyes us down and asks us if we have been served. She felt bad and decided to take us under her wing and serve us instead. She was very attentive, kind, and sympathetic. She kept apologizing and it wasn't even her fault. She was so sweet lol! Anyways, she was frequently making trips to our table, making sure we're okay, and making our night awesome. Thanks Sonya! :) Now to those people who keep grilling OJ about it not being "authentic" Italian food... WHO CARES! Don't be so arrogant with all these high expectations. If the food tastes good, then what's the problem? If the food doesn't taste good to you, then that's also fine. I strongly believe Olive Garden has some good meals, portions, and deals. The problem is people walk in there thinking they are in Rome, Italy. Another problem is people walk in there already with all these negative thoughts and ideas, that kills the whole vibe of dining there... whether it's from the food or whatever. I L0VE me so BREADSTICKS; Yummm.

Please do not eat at this location- go to the Cypress location. Came today for my mothers birthday and it was cut short- 1. Glasses and Silverware are dirty- there was dried pasta and spots of sauce on the dishes. 2. The worst part a large piece of plastic was in my pasta. The manager was very apologetic and handled a very awkward situation well. I love Olive Garden, I'll just go to the Cypress location. It's unfortunate you can see a incredible difference between the 2 locations. They need to get a new manager at this location that is a ball buster and get it back in shape.

My previous OG experiences have always been average, but this location definitely stands out! The staff seems to be well-trained in the "Art" that is Great Customer Service! I met a few friends here, so I don't know how long the wait was, but they were already seated when I arrived. There was however, a line out the door (this was on a Friday night). The place was packed. My party took advantage of the 2 for $25 promo OG was having - that's where you pick two entrees (from a pre-selected list of offers), unlimited breadsticks/soup or salad, and your choice of 2 appetizers or desserts. Considering how busy the place was, our waiter was great! He seemed a bit stressed/overwhelmed and I told him that I understood how busy it was and that he was doing an amazing job - which seemed to put him at a bit more ease. But he was very prompt with refilling our soup, breadsticks bowl (which btw is amazingly yummy) and packed our togo boxes when it was time to go. The food was decent I guess. I loved the Minestrone soup and Breadsticks I had more than the entree I selected (some sort of Ravioli with meat sauce). They sorta overdid the cheese topping (which in hindsight, I guess I could have asked them not to add the cheese topping). The ravioli wasn't amazing, the sauce was a bit watery and lacked standout flavor. But my soup was awesome, and had a decent ratio of pasta shells and veggies. Breadsticks were yummy too - although they looked a bit rubbery, they had a light crisp to them, and had hints of butter and garlic. For dessert, I selected the Tiramisu, which is very well made. It was smooth, sweet, creamy and yummy all in a cute little package. 500 calories, so I convinced my table to help split the guilt lol. Overall, while the food wasn't memorable - our waiter and his great customer service definitely did stand out and thus, *THIS* OG location in my opinion gets 4 stars. Maybe if I came on a less busy night, the food might be a bit more amazing - or if I didn't order off their promo menu... but then again, its OG - a chain, so I don't expect completely authentic italian cuisine. Parking is a nightmare, don't even consider parking near the apt complex as you might get towed. Helps to reserve in advance (rather than when you get there).

i always come in with my good friend for soup salad breadsticks were like two old ladys who come in and eat the same thing. usually the food is consistant, cant really screw up salad and breadsticks and soup. we always get toscana and alfredo boat to dip the breadsticks in. We usually get TIM, we love him hes our favorite. I ate there not to long ago and we got sat by the lovely host RAMSAY he was amazing..in all ways. was so funny explaining specials and came to check up on us a few times.

It's Olive Garden. I didn't have especially high expectations, but our server, Daniel, was awesome! He made our dinner a lot of fun and had great suggestions. We never felt rushed even though we stayed until they closed. Thanks Daniel!

Meh. Service: Average. Servers are nice, hostesses do their job & hold down the crazy people who don't even wanna wait a minute for a table. Overall, clean cut but cookie cutter. Food: Good. We must love the Zupa Toscanna (I am proud to boast that I was able to successfully recreate it at home!!!) with the breadsticks and the salad. I should probably do their lunch spacial with ultd all three because I am never happy with my entree! I've had the mozerella chicken under the 2/$25 meal, alfredo, reviolis but nothing! I do love their appetizers though, my favorites are: calamari, stuffed mushrooms, fried mozzarella, and fried ravioli. I also tried the zepoli & it's just okay, very similar to a beignet, it comes with chocolate and/or raspberry sauce. Sometime's it's a tad too sweet and the fried dough just sits really heavily in your stomach, especially after you overdosed on bread and soup and had your pasta too. Decor: Fresh, light, and clean. A little reminiscent of a villa or something, it's a chain restaurant so how much can you really expect. Overall: I would come back because it's just one of those things you find yourself wanting.. but not religiously and not wanting to eat an entree. Lulz.

OMG. Yes, I am reviewing Olive Garden! I know I am a total food snob and usualy shun chain restaurants but, well, I was craving me some portobello ravioli! I was very excited but noticed they are now on the LITE menu. Guess what, it comes with a fraction of the sauce! OH POO! That's what made it good!! Well at least it still comes with unlimited soup or salad. My favorite soup is the zuppa toscana and that still tasted bomb! Breadsticks were warm, and salty, just how I like it! Raviolis were fine (they are pretty much like store bought ones, but who cares?!), but wish it had more sauce. I'm sure I could have asked for me but hell I was already racking up the calories. Oh yeah, they print the calories, totally makes you think twice!!!

Amazing, Delicious, Delectable, were words I thought I was going to say. Cold, plain, tiresome, were words I said. When we came into the restaurant the service was quick and everything was clean and I was able to touch the table instead of always having to wipe it with a napkin. When we ordered and got our food we got the wrong order for my cousin! Our waiter, Chris, was great until after he served our meals. Our pasta needed a little more parmesan and Chris was nowhere to be found. We needed a refill on drinks, since the dishes were very salty and we wanted more soup. While we were waiting another waiter, Cody, came by and he gave us our parmesan, but after when we called him he was already walking away. Finally, Chris came and we got a refill, but by the time we did, our dishes were cold. The whole lunch was a bust, but the best of the whole meal was dessert, Vanilla Panna Cotta with Strawberries, which was delicious.

I come here at least twice a month or more because the food is so good and they have really good service. I got this waiter not to long ago and his name is Cody and has red hair. He was a very helpful person and was a amazing person. Keep up the good work Cody!

Something in the food messes with my insides. For some reason it's as if Asian and Pacific Islander bellies, don't settle well with OG pasta. How bout the entire families bellies. Throw in the Cerritos location and another location in Santa Maria. Leaves little doubt of anything else. "There's something in the water." Three times your out. On a side note salad isn't too shabby!

I've been a lifelong Olive Garden eater. Is it the best authentic Italian food? No. But it's good and I enjoy it. Me and hubs went for my birthday and of the hundreds of times I've eaten OG this was by far my best experience service and food-wise. The breadsticks were just a bit salty and the food came out a little too quick after the salad, but the good definitely trumped the bad in this case. Our waitress Darrian was great and attentive. The salad was well balanced--something I had been annoyed with the last few times I went to another OG. Even the peach iced tea was just better than usual. It was just good. Enough said.

So a friend and I each drove 30 min to get here this evening. We ordered their 2 for $25 and we had already been served our drinks and but our salad and bread sticks took a while but finally came out. We were on our first bite into our salad and our food came out. To be honest I was a little upset that I couldn't even get a bite into my salad and that my food was going to be cold by the time I was ready to start. The manager Suz came over right away and demanded on remaking our food and packaging what was already on our table to take home. Our waitress Catherine came out and apologized and continued to give excellent service and shared a personal story with us. I have worked in customer service for 8 years and was truly impressed with their ability to make this guest experience perfect, friendly, and personal. THANKS LADIES!

My review is a 3 star because it is a chain place BUT...the bartender is amazing. He makes me a special hot chocolate everyone I am there with real milk and whipped cream and takes the time which is seldom seen these days

Went solo and was stuffed after having a basket full of bread sticks, a whole bowl of that awesome salad and the new chicken and crab dish. Bartender kept my glass full the whole time and never had to wait. Food came out fresh, fast and hot!

I used to love coming here. However, after the last THREE visits, I doubt I will be back. (To this particular location that is) ... food was great, but the service was horrible. My boyfriend and I came in a few weeks ago and sat at the bar. It was the first time we had ever sat at the actual bar at any restaurant. The bartender was nice, but took forever to greet us. When he finally came and took our drink orders we decided to also order food right away so that we wouldnt have to wait for him to come back and take our food order too. I just about finished my drink before we got our food, and finished it half way through eating my food. I wanted a glass of water and napkins but could not find our waiter (the bar tender) anywhere, and all the other waiters were being attentive to their guest. I drank some of my boyfriends drink meanwhile. By the time I finally found the waiter/bartender I was done with my food. I still asked for the water and got it. Then he left again. Now we both finished our dinners (we got the 2 for 20 dinner) and when the waiter/bartender came back, he asked what we wanted as the dessert..we ordered it, but we ordered it to go because by now we'd been there 2hours. When it was time to pay, he took so long to come take our credit card, that we left cash instead. Then went home. Tonight was another story. This time there were three of us. We sat at the bar despite our last visit, however we sat at a booth and not the bar itself. Our waiter was rude and acted like he hated his job..if you are unhappy with your job, leave and find a new one!!... He spilt some of my drink on the table and didnt bother giving me ANY napkins to clean it, nor did he clean it. I took my silverware napkin and soked up most of it right in front of him. He didnt say he was sorry. We now went to order our salad. We were asking each other what kind of dressing we wanted and before we could say anything to the waiter, he was quick to say " I'll just bring it dry with the dressing on the side" ..well excuse us for not being quick with an answer and making you wait 10 seconds longer. Geez. Our third party was ordering a soup and nicely asked what the names of the soups were cuz she couldnt remember the name of the one she liked but said shed remember it if she heard it. He then rolled his eyes and listed them. ( she got the right one) .. Our food was now brought out to us (by someone else) ..we finished our drinks shortly after getting our food, and yet again no one came to see if we wanted refills or anything else. When our waiter came back we asked for drinks , more breadsticks and a dessert menu. He came back with the drinks, and dessert menu. We never got our more breadsticks. We ordered dessert and got boxes. He then took our plates and accidentally hit our third party in the elbow with the plate...he again did NOT say he was sorry. After he brought us our bill, he was quick to come back and say " can i take that for you"...ohhh, now you want to be attentive and fast? ugh! I work in customer service (for 5 years) and I know even if you are having a bad day/long day, don't ever take it out on your customers! We still love your food though!

i love Italian but not this place. Went in there a couple weeks ago and the service was horrible. The waiter told us we had to order our food before he would bring out any bread sticks...what really? who goes here for free bread sticks? food tasted like it was put in the microwave and not really worth the money.

Wait was short, despite the Sunday Dinner rush. Food was excellent. Breadsticks for DAYS! My server Paris was amazing, attentive, and a total fox! I haven't been here in a year, but I plan on coming back again soon after my experience. And Paris, if you're reading this, loved your tattoos and quirky sense of humor. I'm coming back for you.

This place always has great tasting food, and good deals. The one time I had a complaint, I emailed the store and not only did they apologize but totally made it better! I would absolutely recommend this place, it's usually very professional and even accepted my expired coupon which is wonderful! Makes great leftovers too. It is kinda pricey sometimes but what place isn't nowadays other than shiiiity Taco Bell

My husband and I ate here in February 2014 for my birthday and never again!! I am so incredibly disappointed in Olive Garden. This used to be mine and my grandma's favorite place to eat, that was my first time going after she had passed away. We came in about 4:00pm and were seated right away. Our waiter came over and offered us a glass of wine(I cannot remember the name now or then haha) it was a red wine that I did not like at all. I'm not a wine drinker but I had wanted to try some while we were there. We gave him our drink and appetizer order. We ordered salads and their combo appetizer plate. It took awhile for our appetizer to get to us and when it did -_- I didn't realize Olive Garden bought their appetizers in the frozen section at Walmart. Our mozzarella sticks were frozen in the middle and everything else was cold. We told our waiter that and he took it away and brought another one but we were still turned off by it. I ordered a pasta plate and my husband ordered the chicken pizza. Again, we take a couple of bites and our food is cold. So we again tell the waiter and he takes our plates away. All they did was pop our plates in the microwave because when our plates were brought back it was the same plate with the our bites taken out of them. Not even 10 minutes into eating our dinner my husband just gets up and runs to the bathroom. My husband became so violently sick, he made it into the bathroom but not the toilet before he just started throwing up. I didn't know what happened until he came back and told me. I waved our waiter over and asked to speak to the manager. The manager, a young man, came over to our table and I quietly told him what happened with the appetizer and both of our dinners being cold then I told him they needed to send someone into the bathroom to clean it because the food made my husband violently sick. The manager apologized and said he was going to take our appetizer and dinners off our bill. We thanked him and told him he could take the plates of food away. He asked if we wanted to try anything else at no charge but we declined. First we didn't want to eat anything else after gross cold food and my husband getting sick. Second we didn't want anything for free, we just wanted them to be aware of the situation. We went to pay for our sodas and salad right after speaking to the manager. He came over with a $15 gift card because we had declined more food and he said he felt really bad that my husband got sick. Its been almost 8 months and we haven't gone back. That $15 gift card is still in my wallet and I have told family and friends to not visit this location.

I love the Olive Garden and this branch is great. The Chicken Marsala is my favorite dish here. The potato and bell pepper side dish that comes it is so good. The salad and soup (especially the Zuppa Toscano) is delicious. I have tried other pasta dishes and I have not been disappointed. Lastly, service has always been good the several times that I have visited this location.

Our server Nick was excellent. Even with the complicated order of my gf. Also the food today was perfect. Fettuccine Alfredo is usually dry but this time it wasn't. The chicken parm was perfectly moist inside. Dunno why it was so perfect tonight at this location, but I'm one happy customer.

Never ending pasta AND unlimited soup or salad AND breadsticks?! What more can you ask for?! lol Came here on a sunday night for the never ending pasta deal, told us it would be around a 30 minute wait and they were spot on, actually waited around 30 minutes, which isn't too bad. Ordered the Zuppa Toscana soup and boyfriend ordered the salad. The soup and salad was delicious and how it should be quality wise. I've been to other locations where the food just didn't taste as good. Service was also really good too, our server checked on us often and we noticed this location had a ton of servers who only had a couple tables at a time so this way they could provide better service than worry about a ton of tables at a time. They also have a HUGE parking lot is the back which is a plus! Will definitely come back to this location next time I'm craving Olive Garden!!

  • Jin L.

buy one take one home! that's the only reason we checked it out. that have 4-5 options to choose from, all of which are very whatever. the spaghetti was kind of bland, and the chicken pasta dish i ordered was super rich and creamy, and gave me a weird stomach ache the next day. very mehhhhhhhh. i did not realize olive garden was so expensive now! especially for very very mediocre food.. if i'm going to pay 17-20+ dollars on an entree i'd rather go to a legit italian place and pay a little more. i just don't feel like olive garden food is worth THAT much.. it seems like there is always a wait during dinner time.. located next to the shabu restaurant on beach blvd. plenty of parking in the back.

I've been to the Olive Garden in Burbank, but this is my first time here. I have to say that while the food is the same (pretty good, VERY rich) as Burbank's restaurant, the staff is a lot more nice and efficient at this location. Don't wait for a table when you can check out the first come first serve bar area.

The food here is the same like all other Olive Gardens. The restaurant is pretty spacious, although not as roomy as the one in Main Place. The bar area has enough space. The only thing that I'm not too excited for about this place is the service. Not that it's bad, but it's kind of hit or miss. Sometimes you get attentive ones, and sometimes you get ones that don't remember you asked for more breadsticks and salad :/ . I have had way better service at the Olive Garden in Cypress.

Came here on leave to visit family, the service was TERRIBLE along with other countless issues we ended up having. The manager Suz was great though, she was very apologetic and seemed genuinely sorry for the experience we had. She handled the situation in a very professional manner, she gets 5 stars!

  • Daniel C.

As far as the food goes, that's pretty simple. Olive Garden is one of my favorite restaurants so there's not a whole lot I can pump on that one. What I can talk about though is the service. I've been to several Olive Gardens in and out of SoCal and I can definitely tell you that this one is by far my favorite. Every single server I've ever had was always extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and just all around awesome. One of the managers, Tim, is just all around fantastic. I'm a people watcher wherever I go and I've noticed that every time he's there, he makes sure he stops at every table he can to check that they're enjoying themselves. I'm definitely going to be returning here soon.

  • Elissa S.

My boyfriend and I usually come here for the unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks deal for a great price. I've been addicted to Olive Garden breadsticks since my early years. The servers are always very friendly but sometimes service can get slow. Maybe they just have too many tables per server. Last time we went here, my bf ordered the special where you have a meal at the restaurant and have another one to-go. We didn't check the to-go order til we got home and they gave us the wrong entree.

Everything was so good the customer service was great I love how our waitress didn't look at us like fat asses lol cause we must of asked her to bring us more garlic sticks five times along with soda refills the new manager was so so nice can't wait to go back me an my hubby loved it

I have never been to an Olive Garden before and reading the reviews terrified me a bit. It seems like all Olive Gardens have bad reviews so I was preparing for bad service. Thankfully it turned out way better than I expected. I went here on a Thursday afternoon to try their 3 course for $12.95 special. The food and soup was amazing. Everything came out in a timely manner and it was very enjoyable. Our server, Tim, was great. I'm so glad I had a good experience as a first timer. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the mood for Italian again :)

Ok, we never understand why there's a line out the door for dinner. We went on a Saturday for lunch...no line. They still tried to seat us in the bar...ugh, stupid. There were tons of tables available. We got a table a minute later and had our free sip of wine. On Alitalia Airlines they give you a whole glass...and more if you want it! It's so tough to find decent, unprocessed food. Way too many things come in cream sauce. They do have a whole wheat linguini. I ended up with the mixed grill which took a long time to come out. One medallion of steak was undercooked...so I sent it back. Meals were ok, but not exciting...just average. The atmosphere is always good. I wish the breadsticks would have some grain in them. The salad is the same as usual...lots of iceberg. We'll try it again in another year or so.

I came here with my boyfriend our server gave me another coke while my cup was half empty, gave us another salad and gave us more bread sticks with out us having to ask. That's great service if you ask me! Food took awhile to come out but the food was great!

I have dinner at this Olive Garden about twice a year, and it's usually an A-OK experience. Unlimited breadsticks are great, and the food is alright. However, the past two times, I've gotten seated with an AMAZING waiter, Johnnie N. He checked in on us constantly throughout the meal and was super patient even though my two guy friends were pretty obnoxious and clueless. I came here most recently for the 2 for $25 special! Choices are pretty limited, and honestly I think the only entree worth having is the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, and that's an extra $4.99.... (thank god for Johnnie telling us before we ordered because as teens, we are SO stingy with our money). Food came in a timely manner, in order, and the manager even came to check up on us and offer refills and more breadsticks! It was an enjoyable atmosphere and everything was clean and comfortable. Not the most amazing food, but I really like the service here. :)

The only thing I like about Olive Garden is the unlimited soup, salad, and breadstick, and I do love their breadsticks. However the reason I came to Olive Garden is for the pasta dishes and they're not that good. I ordered the shrimp mezzaluna and it look like vomit. I ate it and it was one of the most disgusting thing I ever had. I felt so nauseous and queasy after eating it and felt sick. Needless to say, I have a bad experience at Olive Garden and I am hesitant in going back again.

Olive Garden has always been my favorite restaurant but they stopped serving my favorite dish. The seafood portofino was the main reason I went there and now that they dont offer it, I am having a hard time finding a dish that even comes close. The seafood portofino was a very popular dish so it really makes no sense to take it off the menu. Also the last time we went to the Huntington Beach location, the service was great but the salad had almost no dressing on it and the portions seemed to have gotten smaller. I think I am going to try Red Lobster.

  • Mina L.

The food was pretty decent. Maybe it is because my family and I ate during the busiest time (lunch schedule), but the waiters and or waitresses took a while on coming to us and taking our order. But, suddenly, (I believe it was the manager) a woman named Suz came up to us and took our order without writing it down; and I must say it now that I'm an incredibly picky eater. She was so kind, quick on her feet, and remembered the littlest things such as my preferences and likes. It was great that we got to meet her and all workers should be just as amiable and friendly because she is a perfect example of the best server!

I normally don't write reviews to brag about an experience that I've had at a "Corporate" restaurant conglomerate of any kind, but this time, I had to speak up. Most people are familiar with the Olive Garden, so I won't go on and on about their food, atmosphere, etc in general. Just let me say this, WHERE ELSE can you get a really great, delicious meal for two, with unlimited bread and salad, two fabulous main courses, and a dessert to top it off, all four ONLY $25.00???? Their 2 for $25.00 special absolutely KICKS ASS! I like to get real value for my money, and my woman and I enjoyed a really wonderful meal in an upscale setting, for less than the cost of just one person at most similar dining establishments. I know that I might sound like a paid shill, but I'm not. I'm just really happy with the SERVICE and the delicious FOOD we received at an excellent price at The Olive Garden Restaurant in Huntington Beach.

Thank you Ramsey and Stephanie for a great experience on my to go order. I got cheese ravioli and they were extremely helpful and prompt with my order. My food turned out good as usual. Giving it 4 stars because the crispy asparagus was too battered and not very great. As usual the breadsticks and salad were satisfying.

Nothing too bad to say about Olive Garden. Then again, there's nothing too outstanding to say either. My aunt and uncle chose this place for dinner last night and there were definite pluses. The wait time wasn't too bad for a Sunday night. The rasberry lemonade and breadsticks were awesome. Once the potato sausage soup cooled down a bit, that was a tasty bit. I had no problem with the grilled shrimp caprese meal but it wasn't a memorable dish. I was debating between going safe with my plate (spagetti and meatballs) or adventurous with the caprese and went with adventurous. Initially, I was lamenting the fact that I should've gone safe, but the thing I liked about the dish was that it didn't layer on thick with the cheese. I really do wonder how lactose intolerant people can eat at Olive Garden because nearly every dish that was on the menu had cheese in it. My aunt also ordered the fried calamari appetizer, which was decent. In the end, I really appreciated the Andes mint chocolate. I used to devour that stuff by the large handful when I was younger so it brought me back to that time by putting that in as the capper.

I work nearby, so coworkers and I frequent this lunch spot. But today we had the best server of all time, Acacia. She anticipated our needs, was super quick with service, gave us to-go items, all with a smile. Super sweet! Ask for Acacia and you won't be sorry. The manager, Joe was very kind too and was thankful (though not surprised) about our feedback. Thank you Acacia for making our lunch so enjoyable. You do a great job and we appreciate you!

In my experience this has been a great location. The staff members are trained well here. They know what to recommend if you are unsure about what's good. Now, I do suggest you eat here when they have their specials going on. For example, the Dine In and Dine Out promotion going on. It's worth it because you still get your unlimited soup or salad, plus you get to choose a 2nd entree to take home for either lunch tomorrow or another meal that same night if you get the munchies like me! Don't forget to request for more bread! It's unlimited too and still yummy when you reheat them at home. Just wrap it in some baking paper and place it in the oven and you're good to go! Another tip is to ask for more ANDES mint as you EXIT the restaurant. They will always give you more! :o) Food-wise, i've had their Chicken Alfredo, Ravioli and Lasagna. All are pretty much good choices. As for the soup, get the chicken noki soup or chili! Delicious!

I've lived in the area for some time now and found the service at this location average if that. But the other day I was amazed to be helped by a guy named Robert. He really made our experience memorable and brought back my faith in chain restaurants. The food is almost always good here, and we finally got the other part of the equation. I hope you keep it rolling here OG. Retain the good ones and use them as a training tool for the average ones. The experience keeps em coming back.

Friendly staff. Professinal. Great atmosphere (fun / happy feel). Not a fan of the long lines. Prices are fair. For some reason, I find the interior decor of most Olive Garden restaurants to be quite inviting. With regard to the food: Quite good for a chain. I never know what I am goingbto order. What I do know is: Breadsticks, Pasta Fagioli and salad are always on that list! I'm a fan!

Whenever i go in only two people, we always sit at the bar. No waiting needed, fast service by the bartender guy. I really like their sangria. Also love their salad dressing and mint chocolate candy at the end of service. Love their stuff mushroom. I also had experience in their lunch time. They have a good deal of unlimited soup & salad & breadstick for $10. My favorite soups were chicken gnocchi & zuppa toscana. Super attentive & friendly staff.

Olive Garden is one of those restaurants I regularly stop by. I like the prices, quality of the food and the environment. I wish they can open one by South Coast Plaza as soon as possible. I love Italian cuisine:)

When I write reviews on chain restaurants, I usually rate service rather than food. The food at chain restaurants are usually mediocre and not that great. Came here on a Monday afternoon and was seated immediately. My friend and I split a pasta dish and had some salad. Our service was very minimal. Came to get drinks, orders, came with drinks and food, dropped off the check. Olive Garden didn't really provide a memorable experience...which is why I rarely come here.

Cannot beat the unlimited soup salad and bread sticks. The sauteed mushrooms are a yummy appetizer too.

Service here sucks! I had there unlimited pasta and after seconds my waiter couldn't hold back his nonverbal gesture of irritability.

I enjoyed the food and service at this olive garden. We got the 2 for $25 deal and it was a very good deal! There was so much food that we had plenty of left overs. The deal comes with2 entrees and your choice of either one dessert to share or 2 appetizers. We choose 2 appetizers. The fried zucchini was delicious and the Alfredo dipping sauce was great with the breadsticks and zucchini. We got our fetuccini Alfredo entrees with added minced sauteed garlic (which is a free add on). If you haven't already, I suggest you ask for sauteed minced garlic on the side with your fetuccini Alfredo because it is incredibly delicious!! :) Great service, great food, great price.

We only went to this Olive Garden because we were planning on watching a movie in the area. It took about 15 minutes for us to get a table, but we don't know why because the place was really empty. Every table around us was having problems with either their food or the bill. My friend and i got the same pasta dish and you could noticeably tell that my plate had a lot less pasta. i hate to send my food back so i didn't say anything. The food was ok but i don't feel the price was worth what i got.

Have not been to olive garden in over 2 years. Had a gift card so decided to use it tonight. Boy were we happy with the service. I believe our waitresses name was Maria.she was amazing. Very attentive, and definitely exceeded our expectations. I have not had such a great service in a very long time. And that definitely made my night. Food was great as well. Loving the endless soup, salad, and breadsticks. Made us full before our entree came out. Have leftovers for lunch.

3.5 stars for soup, salad and breadstick lunch. I concur with everything else Steven N said, so I'll just copy and paste: When I'm in the mood for soup and salad I come here. When they have their all you can eat soup and salad lunch deal, you can't beat this place. I really enjoy their salad dressing and soups are pretty tasty. Plus you can choose as many different types of them as you can slurp down. And not to forget as many buttery bread sticks you want to deep in it. For about 6 bucks, it is a deal and that's why this place gets my 4 stars. I think regular price is 10 bucks, which I will kindly pay also. Editors Note: Enen gave it 4 stars, and he's usually more of a hard ass than I am, but I stick by my 3.5 stars because nothing else on the menu is remotely close to good. Olive Garden is to Italian what El Torito is to Mexican...

8/10 Food - Bread sticks was a tad salty and soup needed some salt so the two make a great pair. The panini was well made with just the right amount of crisp to softness. 10/10 Service - Second time I seen a waiter score 10 out of 10. He predicted everything that I wanted and had a quick reaction and delivery of all my requests, if you ever get a waiter named "Justin" you will be in for a treat 8/10 Quantity/Price - The lunch prices was similar to the prices for dinner at any other restaurants but the good part is the unlimited bread sticks, salad, and soup so overall if u chow down on the soup bread and salad its worth the money 8/10 Decor - It had a very nice setting with plenty of seating for those waiting in line. Much better than having to wait outside for some other Olive Garden

The worst experience I ever had in a restaurant. 1) Food Overpriced, over preserved, over salted. My chicken breast was like something out of a spam can and no more that 4 oz. 2) The service was baaaaaaadddddd.. The server looked like a white wanabee rapper with his pants hanging on his butt. 3)Price, way overpriced. I left hungry after my so called chicken dinner. 4) If you offer wine, know how to do it properly or do not do it at all "Hey you guys want some wine, its good" - No thanks buddy that looks like a 3 dollar bottle of whine from big lots. Do not over pay for over priced, over salted chicken!!!

It's been quite a while since I have been to one of these establishments. I gotta admit though, when I see the all you can eat breadsticks, soup, and salad commercials on TV, I think, "hmmm, I should check that out one day." So, when a friend suggested going here for lunch today, I was down. First off, the deal isn't $5.95 anymore. It's $7.95. And guess how much that iced tea is? $2.60! Damn. So basically this $5.95 deal is easily double that ... trickery. Soup, salad, and breadsticks taste just like they did when I was at an OG maybe 5 years ago. Good. Nothing I should hoot and holler about, but still not a bad deal for $10 including drink. There's something about OG that is so fake though. The fake pictures on the wall, the fake exterior with it's fancy shmancy rocks... but what really got me today was their fake bread basket. It's not a basket at all. It's plastic. WTF? yelp.com/biz_photos/N6U5… That right there just encompasses the entire feel of OG. Plastic. Kinda Cheap. Not very authentic. Yet, somehow, it still functions. I was thinking all this while I was desperately trying not to stare at the table next to me. 2 ladies and a young teenager, she looked to me to be 12ish. She was carrying a doll, with a real diaper, and pretending to burp it and talk to it the entire time. Once she got tired of doing that, she would get up and do her own little rendition of what appeared to be the running man. Odd. Kinda like OG.

I'M REALLY DISAPPOINTED in Olive Garden today. My friends and I had THE WORST SERVICE EVER. OUR WAITER WAS REALLY BAD. so bad that the manager herself ended up waiting for us. We came here around 7 and it was pretty packed as usual. Our waiter started off ok but as the night progressed, he became lazier and lazier and lazier....delivering one of the worst service I have ever experienced. He was rude and did not take our orders very well. MY ENDLESS PASTA AND ITALIAN SAUSAGE (which I had to pay additional for) did not come out "endless." I had NO SAUSAGES on my 2nd dish of pasta. WHAT KIND OF SHIT IS THIS? On top of that, I made a huge mistake ordering the portobello mushroom (a tomato sauce) because it was very bland and did not cover most of the pasta. I then changed my sauce to the florentine spinach which was a LOT BETTER. It was creamier, saltier, and more delicious than the tomato sauce...but still my 2nd dish of pasta w/ the florentine spinach sauce did not come with my sausages. Wat the hell Olive Garden ?!?! How did you hire this loser to be your waiter? Our waiter gave us our checks 20 minutes after we started eating. WHO DOES THAT? Did they wanted us to leave immediately? That to me is really horrible customer service. And the fact that we weren't even done eating and my friend wanted his 3rd dish of pasta but we weren't able to ask for it because our dumb waiter wanted us to leave...that's just obscene. I also asked for my 2nd bowl of chicken gnocchi soup but it never came out. I really think our waiter was on acid...in his own little world....and not caring what his customers were demanding. We then complained to the manager (who is this sweet young lady) who then apologized, gave us a $25 gift card, and gave us free desserts. AWESOME. but still we were treated poorly here today at Olive Garden. I don't think I'm going to come back to this Olive Garden...such horrible service here !

Service is Legend. Food is magnificent. Always a great place to dine with my baby mama. You really can't go wrong because everything on the menu looks delish. Make sure to start off with the stuffed mushrooms your mouth will be watering (Thank me later). The Chicken Marsala has been a favorite for quite awhile. The Tuscan Potatoes are in point along with the roasted bell peppers and onions and i believe you're served 3 chicken fillets all for $16.75.

Our go to Olive Garden. Came for the soup salad n breadsticks lunch special, but the special peaked my interest: pancetta/parmesan filled raviolis with shrimp n spinach in a truffle butter sauce. It's too bad OG has the calorie count on the menu, what a way to ruin lunch, OG is probably the last place I'd want to know how many calories I'm taking in , in one meal. Ordered the salad as if it would make a healthy difference in my meal. The single order salad is HUGE! you get at least two heaping bowls of salad. The bruschetta was good, tasted fresh and came w/lots of toasted bread. I was surprised at how much I liked my main course. The sauce was sweet and you can def taste the truffle in it, I definitely recommend! Our waitress was super nice. Kept our drinks refilled, had a nice attitude, she packed out to go boxes and even labeled them for us w/the date, even came out w/a to go cup filled halfway w/tea for my bf! What service.

Crap chain restaurant with over-priced crap quality food that thinks they're representative of great Italian food. Whatever they're smoking must be good because I'm not feeling it. Olive Garden never fails to disappoint in lackluster dishes full of greasy, tasteless carbs.

By far, an exceptional dining experience, food was magnificent and server was very polite and courteous, no the only reason I'm not in the 5 star mood is because the noise was a little loud for my taste, but otherwise such a delight, definitely coming back when less crowded.

I AM A PASTA LOVER. Seriously. My wish before I die is to have Fettucine Alfredo. As an expert pasta lover, I would say that Olive Garden is a good place to go. The pasta is never undercooked or overcooked and the sauces are always good-tasting. Even though they are known for their pasta, they have appetizers such as fried zucchini, calamari, fried mozzarella, etc. are mmm, mmm, yummy. I also like their desserts, especially the tiramisu. Although the food is pretty great, I felt like it lacked "umph" or soul and heart. In order to truly find out whether Olive garden food lives up to your standards, you have to try for yourself.

I know most people view Olive Garden as low brow Italian food....but I for one enjoy it.... ....then again I also like Mc Donalds and Buffets hah.... Hey can't help it....just a food lover in general....and places like this reminds me of my younger years with my loved ones.... Anyhoo sorry for the tangent....been some time since I've been to an Olive Garden.....but glad we decided to go....our server was really friendly....she tended to most of our needs....and the food was sent to us in a timely manner....well after we ordered anyhoo... They even have their house special wine....bit too dry for my liking but it was still tasticle.... We ordered the Steak Gorgonzola Pasta and the Chicken Marsala....we were so stuffed from the bread and salad, we barely made a dent in our entrees....=P Overall a pleasant evening....and would love to come here again...company and all...oh and breadsticks lol

I have been to many Olive Garden Restaurants and have yet to have a bad experience. This location in Huntington Beach stood out to me because this was the first time we ordered a bottle of wine and had some to take home. Before, During, and After our meal, the service was great. The food was great as usual. I was surprised to see the Caesar salad was an extra $2.95 charge, I wouldn't have chosen it if I had known, but that's OK. The part I was most impressed by was the service, and also the wine. We chose the Francis Coppola Cab Sauv 2010. It was a great wine and when we had some leftover after our meal, she corked it with a cork which was designed to be removed with a wine opener or bottle opener, and also sealed it in a bag so it is, in fact a sealed container. No chance of getting pulled over with an "open Container" in our vehicle. This may be the law, but I've never seen that and was very impressed the Olive Garden offered a great wine at such a reasonable price, as well as took very thorough measures even until the end of our visit. Very impressed. Would definitely recommend.

I haven't eaten here in years... Went for lunch today to meet up with a friend. It was good to be back. Very customer service oriented. Great food and good selection. I only downgraded it one star because it was so loud where we were sitting that it was hard to carry on a conversation.

Parents noticed that I've been eating out a lot more lately... Possibly because I've started yelping not too long ago... Day of my birthday, mother hands me a $50 gift card to Olive Garden; of all places... but it's the thought that counts :) So few days later, stopped by for lunner with a friend. Waitress did not look happy; no warm and charming service like Mama D's here! :( Friend got lasagna, and I got some kind of seafood alfredo. I was shocked at how much I enjoyed my dish. Fairly large scallops, tender shrimp, non overcooked/soggy pasta... I practically cleaned the plate. It was like $50 for two people including tip... For that price, I'd rather head to Mama D's or Basilico's. Seriously though, that waitress did not seem happy. I even told her some jokes to try and liven her up. "Two peanuts were walking down the street. One was a salted." "A guy walks into a bar, and says, 'Oww!'" Yeah... no wonder my jokes didn't cheer her up.

It could be better... Italian food is delicious when it's fresh... It was my roommate's birthday, and one of her friends invited her, my sister, and me to dinner. We decided to go to Olive Garden. I thought it would be great. I was elated like a kid with a new toy. I had never tried Olive Garden before, and I heard a lot of people praising its food. This restaurant is located in Huntington Beach, on Beach Blvd. I always pass by there, but I have eaten there. When we got there, the place looked nice and peaceful, so I thought "Yes, this is going to be nice"...But "BOOM!! Once we went inside, it was noisy, children everywhere, and moms were yelling at them. My first thought was "Damn it..this isn't going to be enjoyable." Oh well...I felt disappointed in coming here... I was so excited to try this new Italian food; I hoped that the food would cause me to forget about the screaming brats. Once we got inside, we asked for a table. We waited for like an hour. The restaurant was too busy. After waiting too long, we finally got our table. Our waiter was both nice and funny. And of course my roommate had to say something, so she said "Damn, what a sexy waiter right there!"... Just like any other Italian restaurant there were some pastas, salads and soups. However, I ascertained that they don't have many options. I expected abundance of pastas, salads, soups and most important desserts. After few minutes, we ordered our food. I decided to order Spaghetti with meat. We waited for about 20-30 mins, and then they gave us bread. It looked great, but its flavor was weird, like they had it in plastic for a long time. Our waiter finally gave us our drinks and then our food. My food looked like it had been sitting there for hours, and it smelled bad. It was inedible to me. Even though it looked putrid, I had to eat it. After all, I was paying around $15.00 for it. Once I took a bit of my food "yuck!", I didn't like it at all.It had this old flavor, which you know it is not a fresh food. The meat had this disgusting taste that makes you feel you're eating something inspired. The sauce was... just abysmal, I can't really explain its flavor. The pasta was hard and undercooked. My hatred for this meal was like the hatred of the dogs for cats. The chemical between my food and my mouth was like trying to mix water with oil. I can't really complain about the service, because it made me feel as if I was in a good restaurant; our waiter always asked us for fill our drinks, if we needed something else, he joked and talked with us. My experience in Olive Garden was okay, because the service was friendly and attentive like a good restaurant; however, the food wasn't how I wished it could be, it wasn't as great as I expected. I was disappointed like my mom is disappointed when I have bad grades. That of course is not often. Anyways, I learned that the next time I want Italian food, I'd make it at home or go to another Italian restaurant.

I had my daughter's birthday dinner at Olive Garden with some extended family a couple of months ago and had been meaning to write about the horrible experience but have not had time until now. I even opened up a Yelp account to tell others about it. The first problem with this specific Olive Garden is the wait. Even with reservations, we had to wait an hour. After seating our party of 12, they sat us down and never came back to take our order for drinks. After a half an hour, I went to the manager to notify him and when waitress finally came to take our order for drinks, we decided to throw our order in then as well because we were starving at this point. Over the next hour and a half, the food started trickling out 2 to 3 dishes at a time. Some of us actually finishing eating before others even got their orders. To make matters worse, 3 of the dishes was wrong (I'm not exaggerating either), and others were cold, but we ended up eating it anyways because we were so hungry. I know what you're thinking. It was probably a bad night. I have been eating at this Olive Garden on and off for the last 10 years. Olive Garden is my 12 year old daughter's favorite and my wife and I can't argue with her about their tasty bread sticks and salads. It has been like this for the last 5 years or so. Every time I have a bad experience, I would tell my wife and daughter, "That's the last time we'll eat there again." But we end up talking ourselves in to giving them another chance only to be disappointed again. We only went there for our daughter's Birthday because we let her pick the restaurant. I have eaten at other Olive Gardens and have not had the same problems. I think Olive Garden have good food. It's not the best choice if you are looking for authentic Italian Cuisine, but it's pretty good and fairly consistent with Italian influenced food. Unfortunately, this is the only one near our home.

Service here is okay. Food is pretty good. unlimited salad and bread sticks. Daily specials posted on the chalkboard wall. Calorie counter on the menu of each entree. Had their sampler which had stuffed mushrooms, calamari and chicken tenders. The stuffed mushrooms was okay, need some butter. the calamari was good and crunchy. The chicken tenders were good as well as their dipping sauce.

My husband and I love Olive Garden. This location is close to our house, so we try to go here often. We went last night for my early birthday dinner. The whole experience was wonderful. We arrived around 6:15, only waited about 5 minutes to be seated (which is shocking, because this place is always busy). We were seated in Rhonda R.'s section. Rhonda was a great server, she was very nice and really made us feel welcome. We are regulars, so we knew what we wanted by the time she took our drink orders. Our salad and breadsticks were out super fast and our entrees came out soon after. The food was delicious as always. We had leftovers when it was time to go and Rhonda asked if we needed a bag for our breadsticks, so we said yes. She came back out with a full bag of hot fresh breadsticks for us to take home. It was a fabulous early birthday dinner thanks to our awesome server!

Of all the other Olive Garden"s in the area, I must say I like this one the best. The interior is decorated very nicely and they have lots of table space. Unfortunately, there is typically a long wait regardless on the weekends around dinner time. The service has always been great, and the waiters are very friendly. Usually when I want a refill though, I end up asking someone other than my waiter since they are no where to be seen at that moment. Overall this is the most effecient Olive Garden I've been to (compared to the one at Main Place and the one in Cerritos near Katella). Also, the food is generally fresh and satisfactory in taste. I have found their pasta to be bland a few times, so the only way I can eat it is if it's smothered in sauce. The prices are average for the amount of food you receive. Just try to not fill up on breadsticks and soup or salad :)

I usually come to olive garden for the soup, salad, and bread-sticks deal around lunch time. I am additively obsessed with their Zuppa Toscana. I can probably have three bowls of that soup! They have other good things on their menu but I feel like they don't ever really have any variety. This location in particular is very slow during lunch time but their service is not all the great. You would think they would be since its so slow but eh guess not ...

I brought my family to the olive garden on 2-13 on a Thursday night, we normally visit the olive garden in cypress but decided to try this location I figured they were all the same. Like they say when your here your family ! Well we didn't feel like that in this location our server was young lady Paulette B.she was nice but failed short in our service. No refills on our drinks we had ask for more soup and forgot to bring it out.My wife order shrimp Alfredo and had very little sauce, and had pieces of shrimp skin. They did make us a new dish but by that time we were all done eating my wife was upset and order a box to go. As we were leaving Erno ask how was everything and I reply not good.He apologize and gave us a gift card.Thank you Erno. The only thing I would suggest is make sure you visit with your guest to make sure food and service is great. I love the olive garden and I will continue to eat chicken alfredo and sopa Tuscona.I hope this review will help you guys be better.

This doesn't need a review, because it's Olive Garden and there are like already fifty other reviews that say a lot of the same things. I haven't been to an OG in years, and the only other time I went was for lunch, and it was only for the endless salad, soup, and breadsticks special. This time was dinner, this was new. But it was still Olive Garden. And there's no problem with Olive Garden, but there's really nothing crazy special about it. It's a safe place for good food and that's all you can really ask from any restaurant. We went in at six, which was just when the old people dining shift was over, and the younger crowd was getting hungry. We got the endless breadsticks, we got the endless salad, we tried the spinach dip, we went all out. The server was very nice, and busy. Endless things means you're always on your toes, I guess. He went through all his corporate motions, offering free tasters of wine and all that jazz. My chicken parm was good, pretty standard for Italian chain restaurant faire. I wasn't wowed, but I wasn't expecting to be. It's Olive Garden, safe tasty Italian food....with things that are endless. Good endless things, like salad and bread. It's a bit pricey, but it's not Denny's. However, I don't think it quite has the sparkle to be anything that could be considered really high class. Old people love the Olive Garden, and they've seen and eaten a lot!

I usually go to the Olive Garden on Katella and it has always been a great experience, Last night my daughter and I decided to give this location a try. The wait was not too bad, considering the lobby was filled with a lot of people waiting for a table. Luck? Probably. We noticed there was a menu that had the "buy one, take one home" list. We decided to go that route. I ordered the Mezzaluna, and my daughter ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo. Both excellent. For my side, I always, always, always get the Zuppa Toscana soup. It's always really good with the bread sticks. If only we had them. My server kept assuring us that the bread sticks were on their way. I was starting to get irritated when I had seen other servers getting bread sticks to other tables. I asked my server more than three times for the bread sticks and each time, it felt like he was ignoring my request, or simply telling me or reassuring me they were on their way in a chill out, they'll get here, condescending attitude but with a smile on his face. He put the bread sticks in my to go bag with the other meals. I didn't appreciate being treated like I was being unreasonable, and maybe the server could care less. It put a dent in my night. I wish I would have gone elsewhere.

The food here has always been excellent in my opinion, tonight my family and I tried out their "taste of italy" selection, and got 2 orders of the stuffed chicken marsala, 1 chicken romana, and 1 slow-cooked beef romana. Overall the food quality was excellent, and our server was very attentive, bringing us bread 4 times (we were really hungry), and drink refills twice. The marsala was a little on the salty side, but was really quite good, and the side of garlic mashed potatoes was excellent as well. I left completely stuffed out of my mind. Though I didnt personally try the romana dishes, they were well received by the others in my party, and my father-in-law commented that the slow-cooked beef was so tender you could cut it with a fork. This location is one of the nicer Olive Gardens I have been to. The facility is very large, and the architecture is beautiful. We went in around 4:30pm, so the wait time wasn't too bad, but in the evenings, especially on the weekends, this place can get quite packed.

My wife and really liked Olive Garden, but as the prices keep going up we tend to split meals. The food has always been good and the atmosphere of this location is nice. I really like the Lemoncello they serve here also. The service has always been good. During one meal the server noticed I did not like the meal (I was trying something new for me) very much and replaced it, no questions asked at no charge. In my opinion much better than Buca de Beppo.

ok first off I'm gonna start saying my mom and I try to come here once a week when she is in town. the service and food is always good. this review is for the take out service I got today. COMPLETELY AWFUL. I walked in and there was no one waiting and I went to the counter to place an order for take out. Britney was the one who took my order. I was very clear with my order. I wanted: 3 venetian apricot chicken orders 1 being a dinner size portion and the other 2 lunch size portions. the dinner size had the vegetables well done and the lunch sizes were pasta instead of vegetables with the pasta being a simple oil and garlic. What I got instead was 2 dinner size portions and 1 lunch size portions. The 2 dinners had the pasta and had NO VENETIAN APRICOT CHICKEN!!!!! The chicken had a little oil on it and thats it. I mean REALLY???!!! I order 3 venetian apricot chickens and only 1 of them had any venetian apricot anything. RIDICULOUS and idiotic. I also order extra garlic ON THE SIDE. I said that 3 times that it is on the side. It came in one of the pasta dishes IN THE DISH. Britney literally got every single thing in my order wrong. I don't know if it was her fault, the chefs fault or a mixture of the two but.. Will never be getting take out here again. And if I had noticed in the restaurant I would have sent EVERYTHING back. Also, I parked in the take out parking only area. There's only about 5 spots and 3 of them were already taken. I was waiting in there for a good 20 minutes for my food and there was NO ONE else waiting for take out and all of those 3 cars were still there when I left. pretty crummy for the restaurant not to regulate that.

I'm not a fan of chain restaurants, but every once in a while I'll feel like having some all you can eat soup, salad, and breadsticks. It's a once in a month thing for me, but it does the job. Service hasn't ever been exceptional, nor terrible, but I'm coming here with no expectations except to not leave me hanging when I've finished my soup, salad, and have crumbs left in the breadstick napkin all at once. Please keep it consistent and coming, and don't try to be sneaky and hope that I get full in between your slowness in re-filling me up. So, because the speedy service varies, I take a star off for that.

Well, after leaving a terrible Italian restaurant in Westminster (you can look it up), we headed over here for dinner. The wait time was 45 minutes on a Sunday evening, which wasn't too terrible, except for the fact that I was hungry. My boyfriend and I got the never ending pasta bowl (which wasn't the best idea for us since we didn't even finish our first bowls!). The waiter was funny, the atmosphere was nice, we weren't seated next to the entire soccer team that was there, which was nice, I wanted to be able to enjoy my dinner without 13 year olds screaming about something stupid. The left overs were awesome today. Definitely a fan of the Olive Garden.

The place is absolutely beautiful, inside and out, the food is fantastic, I been coming here for years and years, and I just love their soup salad and breadsticks, and each time they come up with new dishes, although some are quite pricey a bit, but totally worth trying, perfect place for dates or hangout with good friends. I wish they bring back the pasta special they had before. The waitresses were so cute and friendly, always paid attention to our orders, knowing that I am a big fan of pasta and seafood, I always tip them well, so it all depends on that, if you do tip well they will remember you.

Really nice Olive Garden. STAFF was great and attentative. Had the Tuscan Chicken... it was ok, but have had better. Dessert had the cheese cake. IT was dry...thank god for the whipped creme.. Good place to sit and chat with friends.. I would go back but will try something different.

I hate it when servers serve another table better than other tables. It's like they think patrons won't notice--Hello, I can hear everything you say to the other tables! You've been in the industry for HOW long, and you didn't know that? Enough ranting and onto the food... The food here isn't as good as the SA location, so I regret driving further for worse-tasting cuisine. It wasn't that the food was bad, it just didn't taste as good as expected. So if you would like to try Olive Garden, I suggest you try another location.

What can I say...I really like this place!!!!!! Only thing I have to say about it is the fact that it's always packed and you always have to wait a long time to get a table. But, if you make reservation, they actually seat you pretty quickly. Sometimes, when it is super busy, the waters and waitresses don't re-fill you water as quickly as they should be. Other than that...the food is great. I've never had a bad experience with the food here.

For life of me, I can't figure out what possessed us to come here. I can't figure out what possesses anyone to go to Olive Garden? Why is there always a line? Don't people know that this food sucks?!! Somehow though, we were here. We asked for our salad with the dressing on the side because it is apparently in the Olive Garden handbook that a salad is only a salad if it is actually in a salad dressing soup. And by the way, have we not all realized that this salad looks suspiciously like the bag of salad they used to serve us in the 5th grade in the lunch room? Anyway, our salad came with dressing. After sending it back it took at least 10 minutes to get a new salad. Really? Just pour me some damn lettuce from the bag - how could this possibly take 10 minutes? We also had the minestrone soup. They maybe should rename this to be the veggies swimming in salt water soup. Gross. We split the Capellini Pmodoro - a pasta with roma tomatoes, basil and marinara sauce because it looked safe and relatively light. It was not horrible but it was not really good either. Thank goodness they have those salty buttery breadsticks to make a girl happy. All in all it's my own fault for going to an Olive Garden. You'd think if they aren't going to make good Italian food, they should at least make cheap Italian food - but nope, that's not the case. Save yourself the hassle and go to a good Italian restaurant.

We love it here! I really don't know why, but we keep coming back! I remember I went here for high school prom! I still remember the old restuarant before they rebuilt it! The dolcini is lovely... it is kind of expensive though, and the prices keep going up..up up.... I love how some old lady in North Dakota gave them a famous review! I love reviewing chains... I prefer Nick's in Fountain Valley because it is much cheaper, and I like it a little better. One warning: there can be a nasty hour long wait here, so avoid during peak time.

OG is mine and my gf gurl's day place to be for lunch. We crave their breadsticks w/ alfredo sauce (we always ask for more and more breadsticks), and we always go in thinking we'll try something new but their five cheese ziti al forno and their chicken alfredo is what we always end up getting and belive me they are delish!

As much as they try to convince you otherwise on their commercials, Olive Garden is not real Italian food. In fact, I really don't like the food here, except for this: - Bread sticks w/ alfredo dipping sauce - Zuppa Toscana - Seafood Alfredo I've tried lots of other items here, but anything other than the above has always been a disappointment. FYI....this location is almost always busy, so anticipate a wait. Service has always been good. Letter grade: B-

Eww. What else can I say? I will gladly pay money for quality food and service. The is food acceptable, but the service is horrible! I've worked in the food industry, I know what how hard and stressful your day can be, but there's no excuse for being a bad server. Our server didn't introduce herself. She made it seem like she had better things to do than serve us. When she was taking our drink order she was already walking away. There was only three of us. Geez. We were done eating and it took her at least ten minutes to come to us to ask if we were done, another couple mins just to bring boxes, came back with the check. She over charged us, but not by much so whatever. Instead of just fixing the bill, she stood there and chatted away to another employee, then came back with the correct check. LAME! Bill was about $70. Kinda steep for one soda, appetizer and 3 entrees that didn't even taste good. We had two cards to pay with, but waiting around for her to come back didn't seem to be worth my time. Threw down some cash and left. Never going back here!!!!

Olive Garden. Hm. I used to hit up this Olive Garden quite frequently with the Grandparents back when I was in High School. Times change, and I haven't been back for years. I don't think I've been to this location (or any Olive Garden, now that I think about it) for about 5 years. So yesterday (Sunday) I found myself in Huntington Beach with my girlfriend while visiting my Grandparents. We were planning to go somewhere for lunch and trying to determine a destination. I was thinking of possibilities, and something made me remember all those meals I had shared with my Grandparents at Olive Garden in the past. Also, as is the case with many of my dining destinations, it was very close, and I feel that proximity is often underrated in culinary decision-making! The Huntington Beach location has been completely overhauled since the last time I ventured here, and the interior has a completely different layout. It was a smaller restaurant 5-6 years ago, but maybe it just "feels" that way, due to the vaulted ceilings and the fact that the entrance is closer to Beach Blvd. than it used to be. I shared some Cabernet with my Grandpa, while my Girlfriend had the Chianti. The soup was excellent, the Spaghetti was good, and the service was prompt! It's a chain, yes, but the Huntington Beach location will always have a place in my heart. Keep your eyes open for the Japanese place nearby with $1.00 happy hour beers! Now THAT bears further investigation ...

quite surprised, but the chicken parmigiana was pretty darn good. lightly breaded, it was cooked & fried to a slight burnt edge. (very slight indeed). sitting in a bed of plain spaghetti, the chicken contained the right amount of salt & seasonings. oh, the marinara sauce! so fresh...consisted of the right amount of seasonings. the tomatoes were finely diced, so you can see that it's chunky, but not salsa chunky. it was the perfect complement sitting atop of the chicken breast, which has a dry texture of its own. ordered this as takeout...

This particular location of the Olive Garden is nice; looks super new -- and it was packed on a Saturday night -- always a good sign. The unlimited salad and breadsticks will never get old... nor will the portobello mushroom ravioli. Conveniently off the 405, too.

Ok, I am NOT a fan of the OG. But I know they have a bar and my friend reallllly had his heart set on eating here, so off we went. There were about 60 gazillion people waiting around to be seated but we know better so we scored seats at the bar. The drink menu at the bar has changed, and for the worse. I like frou frou girlie drinks and the OG use to do them quite well but their offerings are pretty pathetic now. Service was pretty lacking as well, and the bar wasn't even that crowded. We did get food served to us and it was generic. But we did get to bypass the crazy unnecessary wait so 3 stars for that.

Had a nice dinner date here and the service and food here was great! I had the special create your own pasta dish in which I chose fettucine noodles and alfredo sauce. I also added sausages to the combination and it was heavenly! This location is very big, clean, and nice for a romantic date. The service was not rushed even though there were so many people here. Our food came out piping hot and I LOVE THE BREADSTICKS!

  • Twila B.

The food is mediocre, the service even worse. I honestly think they must pay those people I see standing in line outside. If you want a large vat of indifferently prepared slop, then this is the place for you. When we told the waiter we needed another minute to decide, he came back 13 minutes later reeking of cigarette smoke. Keeping a hungry small child entertained for 13 minutes while your waiter takes a smoke break is not my idea of a good time. The food took an eternity to arrive too. The food reminds me of neatly arranged cafeteria food.

The service I got deserves a mention. My wife and I visited the restaurant for dinner. After being seated our server showed up. We ordered diet sodas, and he left to retrieve them. Upon coming back he took our order and said he would be back with the salad. When he returned with the salad and breadsticks, we mentioned the diet coke was horrible, the mixture was off. He replaced them with regular soda, and walked away. That was the last time we saw him until we got our check. Another server brought our entrees and we asked for more bread and a refill on our drinks. For the next 30 min we ate with no drinks. No server, not even ours came by. Upon finishing, we sat there for 10 minutes, still no servers. We stacked all of our plates as high as we could at the end of the table, so it would be noticeable, still no me stopped by. Finally 18 minutes after finishing our food, out server showed up. He looked horrified when he realized he had blown us off. He simply said, oh no, I was tied up, sorry. I told him we never got a refill on drinks, or bread. He said sorry and simply set the check down. We paid our bill, no tip and left. Upon leaving the host opened the door and said I hope you had a good evening. I replied it was the worst service ever. He said, "oh well". And closed the door. I got in my car and called Jennifer the manager on duty. She was horrified by our story and could not apologize enough. She sent me a gift card that more than covered my meal. I would never set foot in that location again. With all the Italian joints in HB, there is NO reason to go here. Do yourself a favor and move on.

I love Olive Garden, but I wish they would lower their prices. My BF & I have only come to this location once and had Soup/Salad/Breadsticks & Water. I have been to the Olive Garden in Carlsbad many times. Usually we start with the salad, breadsticks and if we have more than two people we also get the Hot Artichoke-Spinach Dip and stuffed mushrooms. I dont care for mushrooms, but the stuffed mushrooms are sooooooo good.

Alright, well mainly its 3 stars because of the waiting service. Honestly we always eat at least 2 bowls of the salad, just cause its good, and this is the only location I've been to where I had to ask for more salad and breadsticks, and we were obviously bugging our waitress with that request. Go figure. But, we both got the pasta bowls for lunch, and it was pretty good, you can refill them, but I mean how much pasta can you really eat ya know? Either way the never ending pasta bowl is a pretty good deal, and I enjoyed it. The decor of this location was very nice, and we were seated very quickly as well.

so, the never ending pasta promotion is on again & I am all over that like a cheap suit...last night (Sunday 'bout 6:00pm) people waiting outside & was told immediately upon entering the wait would be around 40-45 minutes...I told the girl, "no problem" as I anticipated that time frame...after getting called (30 minutes), sat down & was promptly greeted by my server (who, by the way shall remain nameless for reasons I will go over later) & offered bread sticks & choice of soup or salad...also offered was the choice of "dipping sauces" for the bread sticks...also popped for the unlimited choice of meats for an additional $2.95, well worth the price IMHO... started out with zuppa toscana soup (spicy sausage, potatoes & cavolo greens in a creamy broth) OK, but salty as heck & the sausage was more like bacon bits they were so tiny...second soup bowl went for the more traditional chicken & gnocchi, much better... first pasta bowl I had was fettuccine noodles & chicken w/roasted mushroom Parmesan sauce & sun-dried tomatoes...not bad...second bowl opted for the angel hair pasta then combo'd the pizzaiola/roasted mushroom sauce & meatball & VOILA~...awesome mix!!! the angel hair was less dense in texture (obviously) than the thicker fett noodles so I was able to consume two more bowls of the same...meatballs, I might add were fairly huge (golf ball sized) & slightly salty for my taste but the chicken was tender...second bowl of angel hair was "easily double" the amount of my first bowl & got 2 meatballs instead of one...WTH??? don't get me wrong, I am not complaining...more on that later, see below... now to my server...when I got the bill, there was a charge of $3.75 for the "dipping sauce"...when I inquired to my server as to why I was charged for it, she said it was applied on the bill as an "appetizer"...well I didn't order an appetizer & told her as such...OK, maybe I should not have assumed that it was "free" but then she should have at least asked "for an additional cost of $3.75, would you like to have a "dipping sauce" to add to your bread stick order" & given me the option??? FAIL!!! I then told the acting manager "on duty" the same & she agreed but did nothing about the bill nor apologized...I wasn't looking to get from under a $3.75 charge that was totally unexpected, it was a blatant lack of customer service on their part when a simple "I'm sorry" would have sufficed...FAILED AGAIN!!! BEWARE OF THE "PHANTOM APPETIZER" dipping sauce trick, lol... was going to mention her name at the end, but chose to keep her anonymous, but her first initial is "A"...

Went to Olive Garden, Huntington Beach for My Wife's birthday. We were a party of six. Although we were seated right away, we were seated in an area that was so congested my wife's chair had to be moved every time the wait staff went between the tables. The food was ok, but not worth all the trouble. I do understand the need to maximize space in order to increase sales, BUT not at the expense of the paying customer.

Let me preface this with the fact that I wasn't an Olive Garden fan to begin with, but it was my daughter's birthday and she said she'd never been to an Olive Garden, so I gave it a shot. We made reservations for 11 people and they had the table ready within minutes of arriving. The table was in a walkway, so there was a lot of traffic walking behind our chairs & bumping us. No biggie, I can deal. Our first waiter was friendly and had us sample some wine - great start! Then he introduced his helper-waiter, who he eventually abandoned us to. It felt like we were sitting in the middle of a bustling bee-hive of wait staff scurrying around, yet it was difficult to flag our staff down. They made rare appearances and were generally unavailable - glasses sat empty, bottomless pasta dishes remained bottomed-out. The food wasn't good either. Breadsticks were super salty & garlicky, my husband's spaghetti came out with almost no sauce, my daughter's chicken alfredo was pilly & greasy. The meal averaged $20/person which seemed high since I had a bowl of soup and 3 of our party ordered off the kids menu. Lastly, I mentioned to the 1st waiter that it was my daughter's birthday. When the 2nd waiter brought our bill, I mentioned again that it was my daughter's birthday. When he returned a blank stare, I said "don't you offer some sort of treat for birthday guests?". He replied with "We don't give away any free stuff for birthdays". Okay, thanks. Perhaps a "Happy Birthday" greeting and an offer to bring out the dessert tray might have sufficed??!! Truly disappointing all-around.

After a terrible experience at the Downey Olive Garden I was sent a gift card by the manager for $15. I really didn't want to return to that particular OG because the employee read my yelp review and sent me a profane email. (okaaaayyy...) I decided to take a girlfriend out to lunch and she chose the HB OG. The experience was a 360 degree turnaround! We were warmly greeted, no wait and sat immediately. Our server had our drinks for us within 3 min tops! She took our order and it came out in less than 10 min. We got there around 1:00 pm. Lunch rush was for the most part over but all the tables were filled. I looked around and everyone seemed to be enjoying their excperience. Our food was perfect and we never had to ask for refills on our drinks. Fabulous service by Nancy! Our server "Nancy T." noticed the appology card on the table and must have mentioned it to the manager because he came over and asked how everything was. I told him that my previous visit to a OG in Downey was supremely lacking and told him what had happened. He appologized for the poor behavior of the (hopefully ) ex employee and encouraged us to enjoy our meal. When it was time for the check, our server announced that she and the manager had discussed that my situation hadn't been resolved very well and offered us dessert on them! Tiramisu and Lemon creme cake were to die for! The gesture was appreciated and I assured them that our visit was everything the commercials advertise OG to be. We will definately be back.

One of my favorites sure bet Italian places to eat. None of us ever leave disappointed no matter what we order. The endless bowls of pasta are the best. We took our leftovers home and were surprised the next day that the server threw in an Italian sausage. Yeah..I know..Probably bad employee but that one surprise made our day and next time we will add one to our spaghetti and meatballs because it was so good. So, in a way, they did a future up-sale. We love their salads and especially the house dressing. (We buy the bottle of it to take home. It is in a cute little caraf). We also discovered they do takeout. This is a big deal to us because many nights we work late, dining out isn't something we want to do along with cooking. So, this works out well for us. Servers are always friendly and prompt. I just wish they would open a second location in HB

Had never been to this location before but find food good and consistent. I can never go wrong with their soup and salad. A creature of habit I always enjoy minestrone and house dressing. Consistently acceptable service with quick full bar service. The only thing missing from this location is the nice jazz music track other locations have offered.

I give 'em 4 stars! Very fast, friendy service. Great soup/salad/bread unlimited combo for like $7 during lunch when we're in a rush. The coffee is great and its a huge restaurant so there's never a long wait. Definitely a convenient place for lunch!

I'm not a HUGE fan of Olive Garden or Italian food in general....But I'm sick and I was craving soup so we came to Olive Garden. I got the unlimited soup and breadsticks (The Chicken Gnocchi soup is amazing!!!!!!!!) Our server Michelle was awesome and on a side note she has the best memory ever!!! I have only been there once before and this was a couple months ago and she remembered what I ordered the first time LOL NO LIE....I was thinking how did she remember that!?!? She came back often and was just super nice (So if you want an awesome Server request Michelle!) And my friend who comes here frequently says the overall rating is a 3 star but because of Michelle it's a 4 : )

Wow, two Italian places in one week for me! We only went because we had $30 in gift certificates, but still. This place was packed on a Sunday evening, and lots of people were waiting but our party of three got right in. Our waiter came right up to us and got drinks, but we weren't ready to order and he didn't return for a good 20-25 minutes. He was also not so good about the refills. The food was actually better than I remembered it. We got the Smoked Mozzarella Fonduta to start with, and it was more like a bowl of melted cheese rather than any fondue I've ever seen. However, it tasted good and the bread that came with it was good too. We ended up dipping some of their delicious (greasy, heart-attack...) bread sticks in the remainder of it. Entrees... my partner just got the sampler appetizer for dinner, and the sauces that came with it were good (yes, if you go out with me expect me to pick at your food, I'm just glad she never finished her dinners! :) ). The fried calamari was only decent, and the fried mozzarella and chicken fingers were not so good. I got the eggplant Parmesan which was fried but not TOO greasy, and it actually tasted like eggplant, so that was pretty good. The side of pasta that came with it was forgettable and the sauce was very bland. I think I'd get that again, only sans pasta. Our friend Tuscan garlic chicken which she commented actually had a lot of garlic (good thing!) but otherwise was only okay. The endless salad that comes with it was better than I remembered, although it was very small each time it came out. When our waiter FINALLY returned, we asked if it was indeed endless, and he finally asked if we'd like some more. Yes, endless salad, please, more please. So our bill was something like $55, but with the gift cards I think I actually felt like we got our money's worth. I don't think I'd feel that way if we had actually PAID $55 though, so I think their prices are a bit high for what you get. Wouldn't rush back, but it wasn't awful by any means (since I can make soooo much better food at home for way cheaper!) So- 2.5 stars, rounded down. Really, I've experienced better.

I've eaten at this place at least twice, maybe three times, I work hard to forget. Bread sticks are unsliced gummy hot dog buns brushed with garlic powder flavored industrial slop. Pasta dishes reminded me of the free pasta bar at Sizzler. I've blocked everything else out. You can get much better food from a red frozen box reheated in the microwave, and better sauce from a jar where one of the top ingredients is high fructose corn syrup. It's crap (really).

Pros: Affordable Italian food that is quite tasty. Best breadsticks out of any restaurant. Cons: Always hard to find parking despite the huge lot. Extremely long wait times especially on weekends, at peak times expect 45 minutes or more. **Favorite Dish: Breadsticks. They come with every meal, and many people come just for the unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks. Alright you must be thinking this is a horrible restaurant if my favorite item is the breadsticks; but it's not that they have bad entrees, the breadsticks are just the best out of any restaurant I've been to. They are always hot and freshly basted with garlic butter. This olive garden was remodeled within the last couple years and is somewhat larger than most other Olive Gardens. However the parking here is always bad and the wait times are extremely long. The food however, is consistently good and I almost never have had a bad experience. Although I've never personally ordered it, I've heard many people coming here just for the unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks. Their breadsticks are the best and the Zuppa Toscana soup (potatoes, sausage, and kale in a creamy broth) is very good as well. Their entrees are all good, but to me none of them really stand out as my favorite. I often get the spaghetti with sausage, shrimp scampi, and five cheese ziti. The wines here are perhaps Olive Garden's largest appeal, but I'm not much of a wine drinker so I can't comment. They have suggested pairings with every menu item, and also offer free tastings. A lot of people hate on Olive Garden, but apparently enough people must like it, because their parent company (Darden Restaurants) is the largest restaurant corporation in the country.

My wife used to say that she would rather go on a date with Ted Bundy than eat at Olive Garden. Now since the good people of Florida (and their correctional authorities) have given Ted a proper send-off (albeit 15 years too late), and that Olive Garden seems to have "upgraded" their menu over the years, we debated on whether or not to go. So I went solo. I prepared myself by checking Olive Garden's website, which shows a culinary institute in Tuscany, promising customers that they ship their chefs off once a year to this spot. Bullsh*t. --There's a photo of three chefs with one pinching more salt into the pot which would be indicative of how the food is seasoned. --On both visits, a visual inspection of the kitchen showed that there were several "chefs"; sending them to Italy once a year might bankrupt the chain...just do the math. The website also brags about their chefs learning "authentic cooking secrets" from head chefs Paolo and Romana such as: --Load up those stale bread sticks with salt, dehydrated garlic salt and motor oil. --Mask that cheap iceberg lettuce with red cabbage and carrots. Boy is that Italian....and the dressing? Any kind you want just as long as it's Italian (or is it?) --Sweeten that Marsala sauce so you can put it on your pancakes. --Tell customers that it will be a 10 to 15 minute wait, even though the dining room is empty. This happened to me BOTH times. The last time this happened was on my visit to an obscure country that was experiencing a politically-invented (read artificial) famine. --Braised beef should always be the color of gray. --Chicken should always be rubbery, and if not rubbery, cooked to the consistency of polyester. --Dried herbs! (Fresh herbs are just too damned flavorful and might mask the canned marinara.) Bland bland bland. It is not enjoyable for me to sound like a raving anarchist posting one-star reviews, but the chasm between my two visits and what the web site claimed Olive Garden to be was just too much for me to pass up. A positive review of this chain would be analogous to a reviewer praising the Ford Pinto as the end-all, be-all in the automotive annals. This is lowest common denominator Italian food. Nothing stands out. Eating at a restaurant should be an enjoyable gastronomic experience. I was served mass-produced institutional food. They have not "upgraded" their menu since I last went to an OG in 1987. Why settle for mediocrity when there are dozens of Italian eateries (start with Mangia Mangia, five stars, best in the business, Bella Roma in HB, Rothschild's in CdM, Rumaris in Laguna), but many chains stand out as well (Maggianos, Pomodoro....heck, even Romanos is decent). And these chain prices are not that much higher; you get MORE than what you pay for. Ain't comin' back. Neither is Ted.

I love OG and their Tour of Italy or Fettucioni Alfredo, but recently, they rose up their prices by $1!! eeck =[. Whenever I'm here, I always tell them to load up on parmasean cheese on my salad & pasta because DAM I LOVE CHEESE! lol =X I always seem to run in some kinda problem whenever I'm at this very OG. Me or my friends must have got 5 free dinners because of an accident or a problem with the waiters or food/drink. Gotta love having free dinners =).

This place is amazing! You hardly ever have to wait to get a table. Service is ALWAYS quick and friendly! Food portions and quality are always prime! The restaurant itself is big inside and its always really clean. I see that not only this, but any, Olive Garden i've been to always seems really on the ball. Very professional. Very thorough. They almost have it down to a science. The bread sticks which are served regaurdless of what you order are the bees knees my friends! I honestly have only eaten one meal any and everytime i go or have been to the Olive Garden. I get the chicken parmesan which is a breaded chicken breast topped off with delicious marinera sauce and a side of spaghetti which is a good filler and always prepared very fresh! The waiter/ waitress will always top you off with fresh grated cheese. Oh and try the potatoe soup if you decide on an appetizer its legit. Very good stuff Olive Garden! You've made a return customer out of me!

Ciao! I came to Olive Garden tonight in celebration of my grandmothers 90th birthday to have their yummy breadsticks, salad and pasta. Our server was Johanna, who was a sweet and quick server who was also preggo with twins! When I told her it was my grandmothers birthday, I expected a little bday song and slice of cake... Instead she brought out this entire cake with the staff and sang a very loud happy birthday song! To top it off Jenn the manager came up and personally gave my grandmother a hug and kiss on the cheek (at which the whole restaurant went "awww") and congratulated her on this special day. She said it wasn't everyday someone turned 90. We all had a nice conversation and every employee said goodbye on the way out. I wouldn't be surprised if Johanna would have unnotched my belt for me because man, I was so full! Had a great time and am reminded why our family comes to Olive Garden for every birthday and special night. Thanks guys!

after going to a horrible italian restaurant, i tried the chicken alfredo here and loved it. the service is so much better than the other place ive been to. at least we were served with unlimited salad, drinks and bread. the food tasted yummy. when i walked in though, i smelled something real funny. i asked people what they think that is, they said its cheese. dang... olive garden use some crazy smelling cheese. well... at least the food taste good, so i m good. price is still kinda pricey, but its worth it for the good food.

I have been coming to this Olive Garden for many years and at first took me a while to get a server who really took care of doing a good job. Well, recently visited OG again and it's been a great pleasure to always count on requesting a young lady server by the name of Michelle. Michelle is always enthusiastic and greets us with a big smile. One of the best things about having Michelle as our server is that she ensures our meal once we've ordered it, it comes out nice and hot out of the oven and Michelle makes sure the meal doesn't come out until we're done with our salad first. Another words, Michelle looks out for not only us from what I've seen, she takes good care of all of her tables the same way from what I've seen. Michelle usually works on a Saturday night. We know this is one of their busiest nights but we know we'll enjoy our meal because our server will make sure of that. If you've had a unpleasant experience at this OG, next time, request Michelle and your dining experience will be one you'll remember for a long time. A lot of times, when things don't go well we're quick to review them here. Since in my case I've had nothing but pleasant things to say, I thought I should share this with everyone who reads this website.

Olive Garden isn't the best Italian place ever... its a huge chain and you know that going there... but its consistent, and good and has its great unique qualities... There salad is booooomb, onions, olives, pepperonis, croutons, and a great traditional dressing, that comes with all meals and is unlimited if it didn't come with the meal i would probably still order it, most restaurants charge over ten dollars for a salad not even as good... I have always had pretty good servers and service, on a busy night you still get your food in a decent time i think i heard that servers can only have like 3 tables, which is great for the consumer... and i have had some crazy requests as well with pastas and they have always accommodated and been nice about it... Never had to complain at Olive Garden i have even given at least 2 compliments on great service. On top of all this its clean in there and they have a great wine list for an affordable restaurant i hate that you have to go to an expensive restaurant for a good wine list that is wayyyy over priced. O.G. is Legit.

I am never going to this place again. For the past 5 times, the service has been horrible. The prices are expensive and the portions are small. This one specific waiter that I keep getting is a real mean bizzitch. For real!

I've eaten at this particular Olive Garden a couple times, but, I've been eating at Olive Garden for years now. I don't know why people are being serious haters, but whatever, this resturant is great! Don't come here expecting "authentic" Italian food, cause if that is what you're looking for, then you can just move to Italy. I personally think the food is great. I usually always order the Seafood Portofino entree, salad, and the calamari appeitizer, and the meal always comes with all you can eat breadsticks (by the way, I love those breadsticks, YUM!). Oh, and I get a strawberry daquari. I'm always satisfied with the nice and helpful waiters, and I'm always more than full after I leave. I personally like their food, and if you are in the mood for some yummy italian food, then visit here!

I have been to Olive Garden about a dozen times. The service is good. The food is decent but overpriced for what you get. I like their fettuccine, fried mozzarella, stuffed mushrooms, and raspberry lemonade. It always seems busy especially on Sunday. There is usually a wait and sometimes it is over an hour. So many people seem to not like Olive Garden. But if that was true, why are they so busy?

If you are looking for authentic Italian food, this isn't the place. If you want American Italian this is it. Everything is very tasty and moderately priced. Service is good and the manager always comes by which is a nice touch. Get there early or you will be waiting about 30 minutes. Overall a good place for the family.

I don't really like olive garden period. But i occasionally go there because my friends love it. The food isnt that great for the price. I'm not saying it tastes bad or anything, just that for 15-20 dollars a plate, i can have better and more authentic Italian food. The service is fine, overall it's an okay restaurant. (Not good for dates)

yes ok the tv commercial for soup salad and breadsticks got me to come in and try the lunch special. i figured hey its a chain how bad can it be? my hostess seemed preoccupied with chatting with other employees about where they were going late in the evening. but my server nathan was awesome. he was quick fast and attentive. as usual the breadsticks were yummy but very small portions though only 2 at a time. though the entertainment was clearly the next table over where a small table basically built to seat one person was overflowing with two woman and a young child maybe 7 who was bored and playing on the floor next to the table. he was funny because he would grab his moms food spilled his moms iced tea in her lap and they wouldnt move to a bigger booth. the "but mom" whines were classic. but i agree with yelper laura as the special is now 6.95 without drink which is another 2.50. pretty reasonable and more entertaining than a movie today...

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
